Should be an entertaining offseason in Jetland.

I am interested in seeing the changes that the Jets, Eagles, and Cowboys make after their disappointing seasons.

"Filed to ESPN: Irsay cleans house, including Bill and Chris Polian, per league source" according to Chris Mortenson

I imagine we'll see several coaches fired in the next few days.

Bill Polian was fantastic for us. One of the very few GMs in the league that stressed BPA in the first round. Most GM's opt for team need because 1st rounders tend to play right away.

That being said, I'm glad he's gone now because there was speculation that he would trade the rights to Andrew Luck for some win-now talent, being that he's 70 years old and would rather win now than prepare for the Colts future that he likely wouldn't be apart of much longer.

Really I think his departure signifies that the Irsay is very intent on drafting Luck.

Honestly, if you look at the year-by-year of top 5 overall picks, Luck might be the most obvious since Peyton Manning was drafted in '98, and even then you could make a case for Ryan Leaf (at the time.)

Unless he comes out and says he won't play for Indi, if the Colts do not draft Luck, I might leave the fan base. The pick is just that important and that obvious.

They'll draft Luck. I cannot imagine them making a different pick, or trading down.

i'd be terrified of luck turning into leaf/murinovich if i was indy and traded manning to make room for him. they've already seen how bad their team is without a qb.

Leaf had character issues that every team knew of. IIRC, he showed up to his signing press conference hungover after a long night in Vegas.

Marinovich was a drug addict who was arrested in college for cocaine possession.

Luck has a positive attitude and is as complete a passer as any team would want to further develop. I really can't see him busting, especially with the Colts who have been very good at getting the msot out of their players as of late.

Yea, Luck doesn't have character issues like those two. He may not live to his potential, but he won't be an ass like Leaf was.

i'm just saying, it's not impossible. i don't think he will, but i'd be terrified if i was a colts fan and traded manning to make room for luck.

To be terrified would imply that there is a legitimate risk that happens. I don't think there is

In the corner or the upperdeck. There really isn't a terrible seat in the stadium though

Pretty much my sentiments as well. Luck has been an extremely solid citizen and to my knowledge is going to complete a degree in architecture. Leaf was a blockhead and Marinovich had a host of other problems (ESPN did a decent documentary recently on him).

Don't see a big problem with drafting Luck and keeping Manning. Philip Rivers was touted as being NFL after the 2004 Draft, but looked shaky in preseason (no thanks to a hold out). Rivers then got to sit back and watch how Drew Brees prepared which helped out in the long run.

I had a bad feeling it would be that. In '08 when the Giants lost to Eagles I got a sick deal for three seats for about 80-100 each in the mezzane in the old stadium. This was on a ticketmaster presale though.

It ain't fair.
