It was a huge win for us and we need those two points and end this year on a good note...I thought overall tonight the second period was good for us and that’s what we have to build on and play like that. (Re beating Vancouver): It says we have a lot of character. We can definitely do it. Now it’s just a matter of doing it night in and night out. That’s what Darryl [Sutter]’s pushing for us. We have to recognize it and build on this win and get going."

I think (team confidence) it’s still a work in progress but we’ve been having some success over the last little bit with Darryl [Sutter] coming in and this was a good game for us obviously but we’ve got to keep going. We can’t rest on this game. (Re changes under Sutter): The mechanics? Not too much. I think it’s just kind of a different attitude right now. We kind of needed a little change and that’s what we got. He’s getting a lot of good play out of a lot of guys right now. (Re Kopitar): Maybe you guys have been making a big deal out of it, but he’s been doing everything for us. He hasn’t been scoring but he still logs 27 minutes of ice. He plays well. He does everything. He’s on the ice in every situation. If you ask a guy in here if his play’s dipped at all I don’t think so. It’s just he’s not finding the back of the net and for him to do that, that’s great, but he’s been the best player throughout the whole year."

(Re: Kopitar) He scored a big goal and that makes him feel good again. He’s been struggling with scoring but he’s getting a lot of shots and that’s what we’ve been trying to re-enforce, keep shooting. We had two or three of those plays. Mike Richards had that same type of play. I thought [Jarret] Stoll’s line had a lot of those opportunities, too, and the kid’s, [Andrei] Loktionov’s line. They’re all good.”

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

If the Kings win tonight, they will officially be 1 point ahead of where the Kings were after this same # of games last season.

Mehhhhhh, I still feel good with Alec Martinez in that spot, plus it will be interesting to see what A-Mart can do alongside Willie Mitchell instead of Matt Greene for a change
... it just might up his trade value

Big test for Loktionov tonight. Needs to show he can play well on a consistent level.
Amart needs to impress to even be considered as a valuable asset again.
Kopitar should be motivated playing alongside Richards.
Going to be a very interesting game tonight.

This should be a good test for the Kings. Colorado is on an even bigger roll than the Kings are. The Avalanche have players that can give the Kings fits. Call me crazy, though, but I think Richardson will score at least one goal tonight. Kings win 4-2.

Well, according to the 'Nucks fans, the reason the Kings won Saturday was only because of the officiating conspiracy theory. So, since they won't benefit from that against Colorado, clearly we're going to have no shot tonight *laughs*. Is the 'Nucks HFboard -always- that tin-foil-hat?

How do they explain the too many men penalty that wasn't called when they scored their only goal?

or the gloved puck in their crease?!
Colorado is the type of team who you'll get results against throwing the puck at the net 40+ times. Just need to keep that going, as well as the good team D.

The Avs do allot of running around and if we are patient we should be able to capitalize on that fact.
No need to try and run with them, stick to our gp and win.

These are games we have to capitalize on. Can't let off the gas just because we aren't playing Chicago or Vancouver. This is a very favorable month for us schedule wise. We have to capitalize. This will be the true test of our entire season that begins with this game tonight.
