If anyone has video of Torts post-game presser I'd appreciate it.

GWG just narrowly trumps a great game from Boyle (big hits, great puck cycling and several huge faceoff wins in the 3rd) and Prust who was very direct and made 2 solid passes on Rupper's goals.

Mitchell had two assists - i'd grade him higher

I thought Bickel coached Staal very well through his first game back and covered for a few of his mistakes

In retrospect, I had a look back at the two assists and I would maybe bump him up to C+. Though they weren't anything special, he made the simple play on both and that's perfectly respectable. The problem is I don't remember him doing much else other than a nice flip dump after a long d-zone shift.

Bickel was acceptable tonight, just that I didn't see much of the physical edge which sets him apart. Ironic since it was a Rangers-Flyers matchup, but the flow wasn't really made for a Stu Bickel-type of game if you ask me.

Obviously my grades are subjective anyway and everyone is entitled to beg to differ with me.

i like how the rangers all seem dressed up and look professional, all the flyers players are just wearing hoodies...i only notice that as a big deal because my high school hockey team was required to come dressed up to every game with tie/dress shirt/pants/shoes and a black top coat or you were sent home and I feel it really adds a bit of professionalism to a team

How come the refs didn't instigate a new Winter Classic 4th period rule after their other antics didn't work?

Weekes is such a cool guy. Lol. I would like to meet him. He's probably fun to hang out with and talk hockey.

The Good:

1. Hank - Really not a lot to say. I am guilty of taking him for granted at times because he's so consistent. Truly a generational talent.
2. Rupper - Just a huge performance.
3. Richards - He is really proving to be pretty clutch thus far. Props to Cally and Dubi for great work on his goal as well.

4. Also it was great seeing #18 on the ice again. He clearly is not his usual self yet but it is a huge step.
5. The uni's are unreal, I hope they stick.

The Bad:

-The first 30 min

-Defense in general, not their best effort at all as a group

The Redden:

-The officiating was an absolute joke in the last 5 min. Call me a homer, call me delusional, but I have a very hard time attributing ALL of those bad or at the very least questionable calls to bad luck. Gotta love callouts from Hank, Torts, and SLATS.

-Scott Hartnell is a piece of trash. Starting **** at the end of a loss, stay classy.

It means more when the winning coach mentions how horrific the officiating was. If it is the losing coach it comes off as sour grapes. Nothing will change unless it is talked about. Just like childhood obesity.

I used to hate having to wear a suit to the game. I'm getting changed anyway, just let me be comfortable on the way there.
