More people in NY watched the game than those places, but it represents a lower percentage and rating. About 820,000 in NY compared to 85,000 in Buffalo, 230,000 in Boston and 100,000 in Pittsburgh.
Oh good I feel a lot better, I don't know much about the TV rating system but when I saw NY ranked lower than those other cities I got really mad. Now that I think about it, makes sense the ratings are population dependent.

I don't know if my perspective is totally screwed up but I actually took it as a sign of respect when Rupp celebrated with Jagr salute - Rupp's move was pretty good and something that Jagr could have made - so to me it looked like Rupp was acknowledging his goal as goalscorer goal.
First time poster..been stalking the boards for a while now finally decided to make an account.
Just gotta say what a hell of a game. Absolutely hate Philly fans especially all of my roomates who were talking **** all game long. After the third goal, nothing but pure silence. gotta love it
Welcome. Sure was nice to silence the flyers, the refs and their fans.

You're not thinking like someone stepped in hockey lore. remember, sucker-punching someone in the head after the final whistle is just a good old hockey play and 'boys-being-boys', but celebrating and showing emotion is frowned upon and needs to be stamped out of the game as it it will just lead to more 'showboating'
what a game. im as pumped for this team as ive been in more years than i care to mention....one thing. hartnell needs to be extinguished immediatley.man i hate that S.O.B. NHL shame on you for that debacle in the 3rd...embarrasing to say the least LGR
Jim Hughson. He is one of the best announcers IMO, I love listening to him.
He's OK, but he is ultra-biased and pro-Canadian teams. Especially pro-Vancouver.

I uploaded the final 5 minutes of play via the CBC broadcast in HD on youtube, watch on youtube to see it larger.
Thanks again Charlie. That was awesome. I wish I watched the CBC feed for the whole game. Universes better than NBC's awful broadcast team. Olcyk is the only one who's HALF competent, and he's a blowhard too.
Yeah he's really cool... he's just that kind of voice (can't really explain).
It always makes me think of the NHL faceoff 97/98 video games. He was the announcer for them and that's the first place I heard him. He's almost robotic in the way he calls it but not in a bad way. He's just always on top of the play. And whoever the color guys were were very good too. Very quick to call what was going on. Polar opposite of the NBC crew.
I don't like the guy at all (Milbury) but I think he was probably right that Tortorella should be fined, but he made it sound like it was the end of the ****ing world. Honestly I think it was a good thing that Tortorella brought some exposure to that ****ing awful officiating, but I agree that the comments on it being fixed with the league/NBC was probably just a tad too far.

Interesting at 10:59, Girardi looks like he puts his right hand on the puck and pushes/swats it out against Briere's skate. It's awfully close to the edge of the crease.
I don't remember seeing that overhead view on NBC's broadcast.
