dMan looking to play pivot

I'm a smaller guy 5'9", ~150lbs.

I've played LW when I was a wee guy but usually Defense because I'm a strong skater. I am pretty quick so I'd usually be in charge of breakouts and moving the puck up the ice

Lately I've been playing a lot of shinny trying to play pivot (as best as you can play a position in shinny), breaking out, backchecking, and trying to set up offense. I find that my defensive awareness is pretty good, getting to the passing lanes and breaking up cross-ice passes, trapping wingers at the boards and forcing dumps, tying up open guys in defensive slot, etc... sounds like I've got the right idea, eh?

I've got a nice flat saucer pass, I'm pretty fast, carry good momentum, good conditioning, vision, the defensive experience.

Hopefully I'll be able to join up with a rec-league this spring. Has anybody got tips for the novice pivot? I feel like I don't know what happens below the hash-marks in the offensive zone.
