I jumped on the bruins boards to hear there reactions. Almost all say this is a clean hit and are furious on the suspension.
Makes me so proud to be a ranger fan like the rest of us who would agree with the call whether it was our player or not and at least be able to call it for what it is. A DIRTY hit from a repeat DIRTY player!

Actually, I think he was low bridged in the finals. I forget who did it though.

Who it was that low-bridged Marchand? Must have been Verne Troyer.

I appreciate that the Rangers can play as hard and tough as the Bruins, and still stay reasonably disciplined and clean.

Nucks just lost to Panthers meaning Rangers are still #1 in NHL.

Talk about walking right into a trap, lol. I can't believe I'm the only one who thinks the Canucks are really lazy. So much talent and then they mail it in like this.

Man. I don't like post-game, on the ice, with the audio through the arena's sound system interviews.

Rangers don't have players like Ryan Hollweg anymore...

The Rangers used to do something like this from the hallway leading to the dressing room. Any particular reason you don't like it?

I can't put my finger on why I don't like it. It just seems hokey and cheesy.

I just saw Brodie Dupont's name under waivers for Nashville and realized I had no idea what happened to the kid.

The Kings have started to remember how to score against the Caps. Good to see 3-1 Kings only the second though.

Whoever scored that most recent goal on the Kings "tebow'd" -- not sure who it was.

That's too bad. At one point I really thought Dupont was going to be a solid 3rd/4th liner for us....what the hell do I know.

We all miss them...

I know I missed a big one when after Backstrom's 100 point year as a 21 year old, I said I wouldn't be opposed to trading Henrk for him.

FYI, guys:

NSH's Dupont coming off Achilles injury. Ready to play for first time, thus subject to waivers since he didn't go through them in fall.

Found interesting comments by Dubinsky on realignment. He's the Rangers' player rep.

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/ran...ed-martin-biro

Quote:
“There was no common ground with what was originally proposed,” Dubinsky said. “Teams in the West were unhappy because they felt they had the poorest chance of making the playoffs, and absolutely mathematically there was, versus us out here in the East. There’s teams in our (proposed) conference that were upset ... We felt like our conference was stronger than another team’s conference, and it shouldn’t be fair that Washington, us, Jersey, Pittsburgh and Philly are all in the same division. Only one of us has the opportunity to get to the conference finals?”
Personally, I don't mind the new set-up for the regular season. 4 conferences, new schedule. The play-offs are a different story. Hate the idea of 4 qualifiers per conference no matter what. Good chance of a higher number of strong teams missing out each year than now. Maybe do the top 2 or 3 in each conference getting play-off spots and 8 or 4 wild cards based on overall standings. You can still give priority to geographic distribution of wild cards for 1st round match-ups. Every other league in NA has some kind of wild card system for making the play-offs.

You can't compare points between conferences since they play completely different schedules. I actually find the current system with divisions ridiculous since teams compete for the same playoff spots with different schedules.

Parise told The Star-Ledger that money will be a significant consideration when negotiations for a new contract begin, but his feeling about whether the Devils have a legitimate chance to eventually win a Stanley Cup will probably be the overriding factor.

“For me that’s probably the biggest thing,” Parise said. “The money is definitely important. That’s real life, let’s face it. I’m not going to say it’s not. That’s realistic. But most important for me is being competitive and having a chance to win the Stanley Cup.”

In other words, "Peace the **** out New Jersey!"

I agree with Dubinsky's comments regarding realignment. Our conference is definitely stronger than the "Northeast" conference. Weaker teams will end up making the playoffs and possibly advance further than stronger teams who deserve to be there.
