I actually agree with you that they shouldn't make the playoffs, but I would cheer my ass off if they did.

But with games like tonight, don't worry they will fade fast and be right down there with Washington and Charlotte in the basement and potential lottery.

Haha like the CFL crossover rule. Yes, that would make more sense than seeing a team at 25-41 make the playoffs

well, after getting lit up by Atlanta, I wonder how bad things will be tonight. Bargs didn't travel with the team, so any hopes of him making a Willis Reed type last-minute comeback are pretty much dead.

So...... 5-18 and toss the ball out of bounds a bunch of times?

It's a good thing there wasn't a game tonight. Yep. No Raptors game until Friday.

I am definitely part of 'tank-nation' but I do not promote, well, whatever that was.

What an embarrassing effort.

I'm not sure what you're talking about because clearly there was not a game tonight. So nothing happened because nothing could happen when there wasn't a game. They played yesterday, and they'll play again on Friday. That's exactly how the schedule went.

I came here to post and stop thinking about the Raptors until the draft.

At least last year was somewhat exciting to watch. I'd rather see a 110-100 loss than all the 85-75 monstrosities we've seen this year.

DeRozan is disappointing me. Was expecting so much more.

DD is frustrating to watch.. I feel like he's taken on too many expectations that he's incapable of meeting. Either way he's only in his third season so I'm willing to wait it out. He's got "really good complementary player" written all over him.

Chisholm article on DeMar:

http://www.tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=386747

Quote:
I think it's officially safe to say that the Raptors have a DeMar DeRozan problem. The third-year swingman was a linchpin for Toronto's future as recently as this training camp, especially after coming off a tremendous second-half to last season...
Quote:
In fact, for many DeRozan had eclipsed Andrea Bargnani as the team's best player and had become the one absolutely untradeable asset in Toronto's arsenal. The assumption was that he'd show up this year ready to improve upon his output of last season and follow in the footsteps of scoring wings like Rudy Gay or Rip Hamilton. That didn't happen.

Just sayin'... But people shouldn't lose their **** over DeMar season. Its not what was expected of him but it happens. He is still very young and trying to improve. It took Bargnani quite a bit of time to where he is at today.

What the hell is with the new player intro music? It sounds like the track just keeps skipping/repeating.

DeMar through 3 quarters:

2-8, 2-4 FT, 6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 turnovers

I'm glad he's not turning it over and he's got some boards (which he should be able to do based on his athleticism) but it's like now that he's had a few terrible shooting % games, he's getting gun shy.

After a couple of solid games, Forbes has suddenly become worthless. Part of that is Kleiza taking his rotation spot, but part of that is just disappointing. EDIT: I just noticed he actually has 6 boards, so there's that. But I thought he was supposed to be a decent scorer.

Meanwhile, Rasual Butler continues to be stapled to the bench, to the delight of Raptors fans everywhere (or at least those of us in this thread) EDIT 2: awww dammit. I jinxed it...

They should have done that against WSH the first time.

I'm starting to think we can actually get a decent return for Barbosa at the deadline. I would assume many teams would be interested in his services.

I wouldn't mind him back next season to be honest, but I'm not sure how interested he would be in returning.
