Khokhlachev is leading the charge against the Canadians right now... just simply an abysmal effort by the Canadians so far.

Speaking of Webermin... any word on him after that hit on Saturday? Hopefully it's not serious as he really needs to stay healthy this 2nd half.
Heard it maybe a concussion still awaiting word

Seen Robertson at the WFCU today after practice asked him how his Shoulder was he said it was doing alot better and hopes to Play Friday. Cullen was also there but was not close enough for me to ask him how he is. If Robbie hopes to Play Friday my guess is that WR is waiting untill Dekort is done with the -17 or is just givving Robertson more time to heal

LOL, yeah that might have been a good question. At the -17 tournament I got to see Max Domi play and I really like the kid. Would be great to see him play for the Spits. Tie was sitting alone in the stands watching him. It's too bad they lost.

Cully and Robertson have to be traded on the 9th - deadline for dealing OA's is a day earlier now. I can't see us trading Posa or Khokhlachev as both will be back next year, and if we deal Robertson we'll need somebody older than 17 on our back end for the rest of the season to be the veteran voice.

Czinder is fine on the 3rd line, but he's not a top six. I suspect the Spits if they move him will be trying to cash in on his numbers knowing that his numbers are not the player he really is - sort of like what they're doing with Robertson. I'd keep Czinder though, he put the work in last off-season and you need to reward that and use it as an example for the other boys in the dressing room.

That list is almost all of our 18yo+ vets. I'm surprised McCann wasn't mentioned, but I believe he's best buddies with Kerby.

Why can't Feasey and Watson get a look with us when we only play three forward lines? Because WR values the cards more at this stage?

Two second rounders was the rumor last time he was linked to going there.

I know for a fact that WR has always liked Hope and his situation in Sarnia has not been the most pleasant this year for him. It will probably be picks but I can always be Hopeful!

CONFIRMED (via Spits' website):

With the trade deadline fast approaching, Spitfires GM Warren Rychel has made a move to acquire future assets.

This morning, Adrian Robertson has been dealt to the Sarnia Sting for a trio of draft picks - Sault Ste Marie's 3rd round pick in 2012, Sarnia's 2nd round pick in 2016 and Sarnia's 2nd round pick in 2017.

Second rounders four and five years away I guess is the going rate for a half year rental defenceman. London got three for D'Orazio, but I guess WR likes the 3rd this year better than another 2nd in 2018...

Come 2014 these two second rounders would only be two and three years off.

i like it

but i was told yesturday that the 2 seconds were 2015 and 2016

but i guess they took the 2016 and 2017

so i think that those will be used to get other players down the road ..... good trade

Im glad London didnt part with Donnay in this particular deal and Windsor went to sarnia

This was the deal I was referring to yesterday Libbs, a couple 2nds and another pick.
Picks help stock cupboards for Spits run in 14 and allows more PT for some young D.
