It should be noted that the spits are 0-5 this year without him

In the last 20 games Spits are 9-9-2 with 11 out of 20 on the road

With Koko in the lineup they are a respectable 9-6-2 in the past 20 with

Koko missing 3 of the 20

Going forward for next year their Euro pick will either be a Swede or a Russian

ie Tolchinski or Nichushkin

Playing with Koko either Russian will light it up
i agree with that but then we need to trade posa an or czinder

just due to the fact i dont think we r strong enough to win a mem cup

we still need to add piece i think

WR, get 'er done! The kid scored a hat-trick in the game, put one helluva move on the US goaltender during a penalty shot, and loves our city. Plus, he's a 95.
I agree thats why I say dont trade Koko,he and Tolchinsky would be dyamite

put Ben Johnson with them and nobody could catch them

I would trade up and give my 1st for next years draft to get a crack at him

My 1st for next year is for the Euro draft

If all you got for Kuhnhackl, Campbell, Duininck, Robertson were; picks, Braid, Pavelka. What do you think you get for Posa and Czinder? Nothing they get in that deal would help the on ice product currently. The best you can get are picks and move them to get bodies but even then to get top talent it takes young talent in return. Kujawinski for Spooner is a prime example. For Windsor to get Shutron and Timmins it took Maxwell. For the trio of Belleville it took Brassard and Panik. To get Kassian it to Watson. The lack of top tier talent on the team needs to be solved dealing Posa and Czinder won't address that.

Me personally, I'm just speculating based on the info that comes out... I'm rather indifferent either way.

I just put my trust in management and the coaching staff. I may be naive or foolish... but that's just the way I view junior hockey.

In regards to the import draft I would hope that's the case but it all depends where their pick is. They may not even have a top 10 import pick even if they fail to make the OHL playoffs. Might be tough to move up to grab a kid as well.
Perhaps Igor Larionov will help here, already Koko is his client,he has others

on the -17 team and he wields alot of influence as to where wind up i.e.

Yakupov and Galyenchuk in sarnia and Koko here

He was here at the tourney and I spoke to him,in fact he asked me if I knew

where warren was as I saw him outside the Russians room

We'll need the top OHL pick to get him. London will have an import spot open as well. I think we should look to get the Erie pick now - we won't get this type of player with our own import slot. Trade Clarke and picks for it and lock it up now. 3rd overall Import has crazy value for us.

Because of what I said about Larionov u wont have to do this, his working relationship

with Windsor is great, i.e. Loktionov and Koko cant see it not continuing

especially with a mem cup hosting on the horizon

Can he really name his spot like that? Even if we're picking 18th? No other teams would grab him and see if he'd change his mind?

While people want to focus on the draft rigging in the priority draft, it is generally overlooked in the Import draft... considering these kids can make some good money playing pro in their home country, who's going to fault them for hand picking their team of choice if they are going to make that huge move coming across the pond?

Quebec wouldn't hesitate with Roy running things maybe that changes if he becomes Habs coach. Portland seems to become a destination for top imports as well.

Just thought this would be helpful when deciding the future of Koko for this year.
As per Capgeek.com
Boston Bruins Roster Players
(14 Forwards Total)
2012-13 Season
Chris Kelly - UFA
Greg Campbell - UFA
B. Pouliot - RFA
D. Paille - UFA
Shawn Thornton- UFA
Zack Hamill - RFA

(7 Defencemen Total)
Joe Corvo - UFA

(2 Goalies) Tuuku Rask - RFA

Non-Roster Players - 8 RFAs / 3 UFAs (11 total out of the 28 on list)

12, 567, 857 Cap Space with 14/18 minimum Skaters Signed and 1/2 Goalies Signed

Worse on the 2013-2014 season 7 Players total signed in that season so Koko could make the AHL club for sure in 2013-2014 season and possibly NHL.

Sorry for the long post.

I don't think Koko is physically ready for the NHL yet...but I did say the same thing about Fowler last year.

its not going to but if all wr is talking about is the mem cup 2014

what would a guy like czinder do for us ? nothing just take time away from other players to develop

posa would get us a pick even if its a second

second round picks got us good talent really good tallent

Austin Watson
Michael Clarke
Ryan Ellis
Jesse Blacker
Adam Henrique
Thomas Battani
Mark Cundari

all of these guys we got in the second round so trade a posa for one of these kind of talents ok ill do it

plus isnt this draft the best talented draft in 10 years ?

If you want to draft an import his year, make sure its Valeri Nichushkin. Hes the top ranked one heading into the 2013 Draft. Not sure if he can come, but hes the most talented.

The problem with that is that he may stick in the NHL and not be around for the time we would actually need him for.

I think it's more important to get a 2-3 year player, a player who will come as a 17 yr old than one who will come as an 18 yr old and can then plan in the AHL as a 19 yr old. Get the growing pains out next year as a 17 yr old, they'd be ready and comfortable as an 18yr in 2014 and then trade bait in 2015 as a 19 yr old as we look to rebuild.

I don't think you could get a draft pick in return within the time frame of 2012 and 2013 draft for Czinder or Posa. I am not even sure if Czinder is OA quality so he may only have 20+ games left in the league. The draft this year is supposed to be good Windsor already has 1st rounder, 2 2nds and a 3rd. They don't need another 2nd right now. They need to find real talent now.

All reports in the prospect thread is that the top 5 players available this year are all extremely high skilled forwards.

If that's true, I'd rather parlay these 3 picks to a team that has a 23-25 spot. Realistically a higher 2nd round pick has the greater chance of being an impact player than either of the 3rd rounders.

There are a few players in the tournament id go after in the Import Draft from Russia and Sweden

Sweden: Robert Hagg #4, Leon Bristedt #20, Andre Burakowsky #12,
Russia: Sergi Tolchinski #10, Saveli Ilin #18, Valeri Nichushkin #27, Ruzal Galeyev #21, Nikita Serbryakov #30, Valentin Zykov #26

Those were the players that Stuck out to me on both of the teams and the games i watched last night, at the semis and the round robin games between Sweden/Ontario and Russia/USA.

I Tolchinki after the game while he was talking to fans at the bench if he would play in the OHL or North America he reply with a big smile sayings yes the fans are great here i loved my time in city.

So who knows maybe if WR can get a deal done maybe he can sign him before the Import Draft (if thats leagal) if not then maybe you make a big trade that involves Erie say Pavelka, Are 1st rnd Import, Niagras 2nd rnd Import for There Import pick this season???? its just a thought i like Pavelks but if we can get a high end player like Tolchinki id do it

Brilliant job guys in the reporting of the Euros in the recent U-17 tourney.
Great to be able to see some of these guys, hopefully some will be picked in the Import Draft...imagine Koko taking one of these kids under his, by then, experainced Wing.
