Did anyone really think winning the division would be easy? It's a long season, things were eventually going to get dicey. We've got to put a streak of more than three wins together at some point and we'll be okay.

Goaltending aside, it's time for the forwards to start scoring more than two goals on a consistent basis. We need some hot streaks.

I absolutely agree with you. Just like Wash getting players back and getting hot , we too, are getting players back and I'm sure will get back into a win streak of some sort.

Theo is out, Markstrom is in. I know people want to talk about who's doing what, but fact is fact. Markstrom can and will hold is own again. I think our biggest test so far will be NYR, and if our goaltender ( whom ever it is) can play lights out and Goc and Sammy come back, I believe we have a chance.
In any event, we have to believe in our boys.

I guess I have the right avatar to roll with... hopefully Theo can come back in a couple weeks so he can backup Markstrom when he needs a night off and be back to his normal Theodore self , just in a lesser role

^ This in Bold ^. It has to start happening and I know I took some heat for defending Clemmensen when he has had a goal cushion but realistically we need to score 3-4 a game now that Samuelsson and Goc are back. Should be the norm if Bergenheim finds the scoring touch again after he returns.

If we want to stay anywhere close to where we are now, standing wise, goal scoring absolutely needs to pick-up. Watching the Caps goal differential climb as they do is no anomaly.

Having four lines of NHL quality forwards on the ice will help with the goal scoring.

It's honestly a bit shocking that they've managed to do as well as they have with 7 forwards out.

Having Theodore out for a long period of time puts the season in jeopardy. Markstrom - the sky's the limit - but he's just a kid. It's a lot to expect him to shoulder the load. The d-men are going to have to step up big time and keep that crease clear.

I really hope Dineen decides to put Markstrom in net tomorrow night against the blue shirts. After Clemmenson's last game, it would be a smart choice. Markstrom deserves to get the start because he has played incredible when called upon this year.

Wasn't to stellar against Tampa, but the whole team struggled that night. Not sure it's a good idea to start him against a hot Rangers team, but I'm not more confident with Clemmer in net.

According to GR, Markstrom's already on his way to NY so I guess he's not playing tonight/there's a chance he's in net tomorrow? I still expect Clemmer tomorrow/Markstrom on Friday, but that's just a guess.

our goaltending is adequate with theo out. the whole team needs to step up and the goalies need to do their job. hopefully theo back soon and continues to play as before.

Theo has been absolutely shutdown all year and at the very most, Markstrom can hope to match what Theo has been doing thus far. Everyone in the organization knows that Markstrom WILL be the starting goalie in the future and that he will probably start out as the backup once Clemmer is gone, but for a team looking to end a 10 year long playoff drought to lose their borderline all-star caliber starter, turning to a rookie and a career backup is an unfortunate predicament. I think Clemmer and Marky can hold the fort while Theo recovers, but there is absolutely not one good thing about Theo going down. Markie will get his time, but it's Theo's time right now and it's time we make the playoffs.
Wow, this guy stole the words right out of my mouth.

Good news, from GR blog:

The Panthers have the day off, but Dineen said Theodore will work out. Could Theodore be ready to play against Pittsburgh on Friday?

“We'll see where he is on Thursday,'' Dineen said. “He had three save drills [Tuesday] and get in four on Wednesday. Then up to five.''

Hopefully Crosby isn't back and we can extend the Pens' losing streak. Would love to see Theo back in net.

Did they specify at all about upshall and skille and when they can be in the lineup? dying to see what they can do together and they bring a lot of grit and grind to our team. its no coincidence our top line isnt scoring as much without guys like bergenheim and these 2 in the lineup to grind teams down a bit

This is really excellent news. Slowly guys are coming back and at the right time when we have a tough schedule too. I wouldn't expect Theodore to start tomorrow, but that's great that he'll be able to make the road trip. Great that Upshall is close to cleared to playing as well. I wonder how likely it is that he plays tomorrow as well.
