It terms of the Shear numbers and production

Karlsson is on pace for 77 pts

While Doughty is on pace for 36 and Petro 32.

Karlsson also logs 1-1:40 minutes of ice time than both.

A Huge reason why Ottawa is a winning team when begged to be in the running for Yakupov. He jetted by those 2 guys now. Maybe this list would look like this this past summer but not now and going forward.
You mean that all-star where Alfredson is above Malkin and Giroux? Yeah, big argument. Especially from Ottawa fan...

Are people that take guys like Carlson, DelZotto, Stepan, Myers, Wilson, ect ahead of Luke Schenn serious? You know, Luke Schenn, the guy who consistently leads the league in hits, blocked shots? The guy who has shown a lot of offensive potential (see his end to end rush goal against Boston)?

Wow, people have a serious hate on for the Leafs

Anyone that doesn't wear their tie like a scarf prefers those guys over Schenn.

I don't think there is, especially with Karlsson's development and level of ascension this year

One is a forward winger with with 45 pts in 40 games

One is a defenceman with 38 points in 41 games. In fact I would say Karlsson's performance on defense is/has been as impressive if not more so than Stamkos.

Love Eberle and he's pretty high on this list IMO....but keep in mind, over the years, he's gonna score more points playing with RNH and Hall then he would in a lot of other situations around the league.

Top 5-6 player from this draft arguably playing with the guy likely to be the best player from 2011 and one of the best from 2010.

Then you are way too Ottawa-centric. I'm as big a fan of Karlsson as there is but Stamkos is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league.

There's still a noteworthy gap between these two. Karlsson does still have noteworthy upside to reach at though.

I'm guessing Karlsson is at the bottom of that particular group because the type of defenseman he is is less coveted than the type of defenseman the other 3 are. But I have no big quarrel with anyone who wants him 4th.
A puck moving defenseman that with the kind of skating ability that sees him create offense on his own- a la Mike Green- less coveted than what exactly?

Right now, it's...

Just curious (dont watch many games that dont involve the canucks) why are Bogosian and Wilson ahead oh Hodgson and Henrique on most lists?

Both are high in rookie scoring and project very well as they have great hockey sense.

Bogosian has pretty much become Winnipeg's #1 defenseman. He's already logged 30+ minutes in a few games this season.

He was really bad last year in Atlanta with Torchetti, but working with Charlie Huddy has done wonders for his game and confidence. He is by far the most improved player on the team.
