The feeling I get reading around is that some islanders fans have soured on Nino a bit, and with Baertschi in Calgary, I was wondering what we would have to give up to acquire nino from you guys. Only things off the table are Sven and our first rounder this year.
Thanks!
Not much else to want... No offence, but most of your guys are older, paid too much, or simply not worth Nino.
Haha I know what you mean! But Sven we cant give up on, we've had a very poor history of acquiring talent through the draft and we need to keep him and the pick or the fan base is going to get very sour, especially with whats happening to the north of us.
That could maybe be arranged. Where do you see bouwmeester's value at?
Swap him for DP...
Seriously, it would seem to me that moving JBo would require another team to provide CLG a salary back. I just don't see NYI taking on JBo to be the teams highest paid player, paying his true salary (6Mil+), and moving a salaried player back.
Now, NYI got gobs of cap space for 2012 and can take on the salary. He's overpaid, but better than the rest of NYI's D-men.

Somthing around Brodie and Babchuk??? thats the best I could think of, Isles would rather Hang onto him and Iggy has a higher price than just nino that the Isles wont want to Pay....

also, tavares rocks.
I dont know what your reading other then 2 people and there consistent whining how he was rushed. No one here is soured on Nino and for the sake of the post Ill take Ignilia for him straight up
We get the star studded goal scoring winger for JT, You guys get younger with a potential phenom player in Nino who will score buckets with his old time Swiss pay Sven. Jerome is in his early 30's with a good 6-8 yrs left in him.

It's not Nino whom the fans have a problem with. It's the team's management. I wanted Baertschi in the draft for the same reasons that you want to trade for Nino. It makes sense from your end, but Nino won't be getting traded. He's just being mishandled... this team's MO.
I certainly haven't soured on Nino, and nobody here should. He really should have just gone back to juniors this year, but he will find his niche very soon.

I don't think NYI fans have soured on Nino at all. I just think most of us are upset that he's in the NHL when he isn't ready & even more upset that he's playing with bad 4th liners who aren't helping him in any way.
Nino should play in the AHL next season. He's shown he is a top player in the WHL but a fourth liner in the NHL so far. After a year in the AHL, then he can make the Isles in late 2013.
If Mike Rupp can learn to play, so can Nino.... seriously, we gotta get off the Nino-worry.
This guy will be a good player, in spite of the horrible decision this year. And so will Bailey.
Can't stand watching players wasting years in the NHL when the team only sees the valuable math (cap hit - salary = happy wang)
yes, but I don't want to have to wait till year 4 of Ninos career to where he starts to show consistent signs that he belongs. Unfortunately Bailey isn't showing up on the scoresheet that much, but he's been playing by far the best hockey of his career the last 2 months.
I really hope they send him back to the AHL next year and leave him there all year. Even if he's dominating, leave him there. Power forwards are like beef stew. They have to cook low & slow until they're ready.
