With Conz not eligible now (sucks, he was the main reason why I enjoyed watching the Swiss) who becomes their next starter??

Do any of these guys have a shot at being drafted this year and how good can this team be?

They'll be good, they have some pretty good players.

I look foward to watching Niño destroy this tourney, Sven Bartschi will have a much better tournament.

Depending on goaltending they can do well.

Lukas Meili would be my guess.

There are a few solid offensive prospects, but no one of these will get drafted in the first rounds next year. There is no Nino or Bärtschi around currently.

he also just got nailed last night against my team and left with concussion like symptoms. If its nothing serious (hope not) im sure Isles will let him play with Sui, NYI arent going anywhere this year.

Figured, I'd be surprised though if they didnt send him anyways, and he still had junior eligibility so how can they send him to Bridgeport ? Or did portland release his rights ?

I hope he gets sent to the WJC's he'll get alot of ice time, and it would be good for him.

Teams can send junior aged players to the AHL on a 14 day condition stint even though they are eligible to go back to juniors. They only can do that twice per player I believe.

The Kings did that with Brayden Schenn last year at the beginning of the year.

Well, i'm not the real expert...but referred to the official Swiss Hockey Website (http://www.swiss-icehockey.ch/SIH/na...20_ansicht.php) the Team may look like this:

Goal: Lukas Meili, Dennis Saikkonen, Tim Wolf

Defense: Adrian Baruchet, Daniel Eigenmann, Samuel Guerra, Cédric Hächler, Dean Kukan , Kewin Orellana, Dave Sutter, Dario Trutmann, Mike Vermeille

Offense: Sven Andrighetto, Sven Bärtschi, Alessio Bertaggia, Andrea Grassi, Gaëtan Haas, Gregory Hofmann, Raphaël Kuonen, Kaj Leuenberger, Lino Martschini, Devin Muller, Lars Neher, Nino Niederreiter, Alban Rexha, Tanner Richard, Reto Schmutz, Cédric Schneuwly, Joël Vermin, Samuel Walser

There is no official roster out yet, only a timetable.

12. - 15. december: camp in Switzerland, without the players from NA
After that they fly over where 8 players will join the team.
Then two friendlies vs. USA and CAN on 21.12 and 22.12.

Dario Simion and Christoph Bertschy may be on the team as underagers, they had a strong season in the NLA and I think Manuele Celio will select them.

do you think Baertschi will play on the first line for the Swiss? or will it depend on Nino? Or is there a possiblity one of the 2 plays on their off wing?

Difficult to say, last year Celio splitted Nino and Bärtschi. If Nino is not here he's surely on the first line. He'll get a lot of ice-time anyway.

There is a lot of offensive talent on this team (at least compared to the last years) so it's no problem to create two very offensive lines.

Depth on defense is quite thin on the other side. And the possible goalies are all solid, but not compareable to Conz.

I think in the offense there are no more two leader players like Nino and Pestoni but the average level is much higher, whit Bärtschy, Vermin, Hofmann (C), Bertschy (C), Simion, Walser (C) and many others.
