I think he's actually better playing 25+ a game, he mentioned that he feels part of the game more. May help him with his 'rythm'.

That's basically what has been happening lately - it happened when Phillips went out.

Instead of spreading time out Both Lee and Carkner still were way under 20. Karlsson and Kuba were both over 30 and I forget where Cowen was maybe in the mid 20s.

According to TSN, Phillips concussion is mild and considered day to day.

Not sure how you can begin to estimate the recovery time for a concussion, I'm pretty sure we'd have more news on Savard or Crosby if that was the case, but regardless the article is optimistic for a quick recovery.

BORO will get the callup as the organization loves him!!! Wiercioch is next in line when his injury is healed even though he has struggled this season defensively. My guess is that these are the only two who are in the teams long term plans. They will need to sign some prospects at the end of the season.

Here we go again! Not another player with the word I dread: Concussion. That makes me want to run like a fool and hide in darkness. Please get a good defenceman to replace Phillips for the next couple of games.

I think Gonchar will play, he was a very late scratch against the Devils so the few days off should be enough. If not I'm sure it will be Borocop that gets called up.

Brian Lee, you better step up and take this opportunity. I am not a fan of his play but he has been reasonably steady this year. Just that his shot is terrible and he reeks of self doubt. Hopefully a goal can change his confidence.
His shot is terrible, i dont know how he went all these years of pro, college and minor hockey not being able to take a slap shot. To be quite honest there are beer league guys that shoot better than him. Its kinda baffling.

Phillips will most likely be back for tomorrow's game against the Flyers. He recovers really quickly from concussions apparently.

Yeesh... this kind of makes me uneasy, actually.

Don't rush coming back from a concussion.

He says he's been feeling good for the last few days, has had some good practices and obviously passed all the tests. Doesn't seem like a risk for him to play given that the game is tomorrow on top of all that.

Our defense has been mediocre, injecting him might give us a bigger chance for the home and home.

They said "minor" concussion from the beginning.

Please please please please please scratch Carkner and not Lee when you insert Phillips back into the lineup Stache.

Lee can actually receive a pass that is on the tape of his stick without bobbling the puck and losing it in his skates allowing a forechecker to close the distance and steal the puck.

I thought Lee was pretty mediocre last game and he blew his coverage a couple of times, so Im on the Carkner train baby.

Carkner hasn't given the puck directly to an opposing player 5x/game in bad spots over the past couple of games like Lee has, either.

Lee or Carkner: Six of one, half-a-dozen of the other... they're both going to leave you wanting for something, neither are complete players.

Lee and Carkner played pretty bad as a pairing at times last night. Couldn't clear the zone at all. Most of the prolonged pressure that the Bolts had was when those two were on with the 4th line.

I think Lee game is improving but he sure looks shy in a scrum, like he doesn't want to look at anybody lest they challenge him. Lees is trade bait for sure.

One more thing, personally I think Carkner is better offensively than Lee as well, Carkner has way better pinches and is smart with them, and when he does go down low, has some pretty decent puck possession. Carkner also has a better shot.
