The three that committed that crime need a special kind of treatment.
You are correct, that was a great gesture.
One would think the Flyer organization would recognize the issue publicly (perhaps they have and I missed it), the incident does not bode well for the perception of safety for non-Flyer fans when buying cheese steaks in the most famous cheese steak area in the world..
Thought this was an interesting quote from Cammelleri on the Hab's mindset this year (from http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=384816). Draw whatever parallels you want to the Jacket's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory multiple times this year.
Quote:
"I can't accept that we will display a losing attitude as we're doing this year. We prepare for our games like losers. We play like losers. So it's no wonder why we lose," Cammalleri said in response to questions about the repeated failures of the Canadiens.
Cammalleri went on to say that his team is playing with fear, scared to make mistakes. He referenced the Canadiens' playoff run where they reached the Eastern Conference finals two seasons ago, stating that during that time, the team played as if they could beat anyone. He went on to say that the team's approach to games is completely opposite this season.
"When you display a losing attitude like we do now, you lose more often than you win and you stay in the same place. When you show a winning attitude, you are not stifled by mistakes and you respond to a mistake with 15 good plays at the other end, you win and you get out of misery. This is not what we are doing here now, " remarked Cammalleri.
After his playoff heroics the last two seasons, Cammalleri has nine goals and 22 points in 37 games putting him on pace for the lowest totals of his career.

If a Jacket was to spell it out and let his real thoughts out publically, he would be sent packing. Cody Bass.

Isn't this pretty much what Prospal did - and was lionized for it?

Cammalleri's comments would have been even more fitting if he ended it with something like...this is Montreal, not Columbus.
If Canadiens' management get their panties in a wad over this, perhaps they call Howson and try to banish Cammie with a bus ticket to the Tallahassee Warthogs of the NHL (sorry for the lame Youngblood reference).
Jaxs, do you really believe Bass was sent down because he was too motivated to win?
No, I just found it odd. Seeing what Cammalleri did by calling out teammates publically is risky to ones status in the room and on the team. I like what he did, and wonder what goes on in the Jackets room. Is anyone raising hell or are the players resigned to being "losers."
When Bass walked to the locker room after that fight, yelling at the bench (don't know what he said, but it was probably something about getting some life on the bench), that doesn't happen much and that questions some of the effort, compete level, and committment of the team.
Apparently Cammaleri has been traded mid game...they said he's in a cab but doesnt know where (at least the telecast doesnt know) where he's been traded to

Brass going that way??..................Vermy??....................
One day a player (Cammalleri) complains the next day he is gone! If only Rick Nash would complain more than he did when his LAST contract was up and the Jackets might have a chance to move forward.

Because Nash plays goal and defense, he must be the problem.

I don't think that's how it went, Robert. He was pretty vocal about the losing culture. Maybe he asked for a trade?
Gotta love Russian goalies, they play an entire career as a youth and jr without a defense... they have to be good in the NHL.
And yet the actual list of quality NHL goalies from Russia is extremely sparse. It's basically Khabibulin, then who? Mikhail Shtalenkov was a pretty good one; it's a shame that he didn't make the jump until he was past his prime.
