They know they have to rebound strong. They'll be motivated for the next game.

Using Hedberg for this game is a very smart choice. I really don't think though the decision to use him for this game against Florida was for the same motives as mine.

I say we use Hedberg, because Florida has got Marty twice already this season. At least it's some new stuff Florida can't watch on the video of the last two games with us.

Also if Pete is gonna do different lines just forget that, and rearrange the PP. In 2 games with Florida we've given up 2 shorthanded goals. Not good.

While I like seeing Marty play I feel due to Hedberg's age it's more important the use him than Chris Terreri his last season here. I know we've used him A LOT more, but for about 3 weeks Marty was injured. I remember Terreri starting a few games, and a couple he would look real rusty, and he wasn't even quite as old Hedberg, but he was up there.

Hedberg hasn't been coming off his best last 3 games though.

It was one of those games, sweep it under the rug and move on they happen and that was a great team. Still I was there with a potential convert, that was NOT the performance I wanted to see, the whole team played like garbage. Not fire sale time because this team can and does play much better then this the majority of the time, and if they put in some sort of actual effort last night it would of been closer, maybe even a win (maybe).

All the fans looking to scalp Marty was pretty sad when most of those goals were the fault of the guys in front of him (though he left up a couple of softies, one after it was long over).

Back to The Rock on the 24th, hope we get some of this stuff straightened out by then.
