It was close between BMo and Cliff, but Cliff gets the nod.

Not sure why Mogilny is getting votes... Name recognition?

How many Canucks have they had that managed to score more than 50 goals in a season (other than #3 on the list) - dead puck era as well? We are talking about 18th place here. Carried the team himself at least one season?

He's certainly had no less great seasons as #14 on the list.

I'm going to go with Greg Adams. BC boy, scored some huge goals in the playoffs, would have had better numbers if not for injuries.

He was also part of one of the great trades in franchise history.

Carried the team.. to what? Sub-500 regular season record and a first round playoff exit?

meh, the roster was pretty horrible (one that was iced). McLean at that point was a mere shadow of his former self - yet that team was still able to make the post-season because of Mogilny's season. Where did Tanti lead us (in a era where guys like Vaive had multiple 50 goal seasons with the Leafs) and at least he had Sundstrom as a centerman.

Mogilny had about 3/4 of one great season here. In his first 60 games as a Canuck, Mogilny potted 51 goals. He looked a sure bet to shatter Bure's record of 60. But over his final 19 games of the season, he scored only 4 times.

After his first season, Mogilny never really lived up to expectations. He showed flashes of brilliance, but mostly seemed uninterested, and his production really dropped off.

Kind of describes one other winger already voted in.

Anyhow, again, we aren't talking about top ten Canucks of all time (I wouldn't argue that) but at this point given our "history", you're going to be getting some players with flaws.

Mogilny. He ranks 2nd in points-per-game with the Canucks, behind Bure.

Add Bieksa.

tried to vote for Jovo, but it wouldn't take ... ? For me its a toss up between him and Sundstrom.

anyhow, add tiger.

and there about 10 names on here all equal of being chosen next.

And burrows ... he has scored some huge goals for us, and his value for money may be the best in team history.

If we're going to pick a player based on 1 or 2 brilliant seasons, I'm wondering why people aren't clamoring for Paul Reinhart. I'm pretty sure the Mogilny votes are name recognition.

Well at least Mogilny actually played for more than 2 seasons as a Canuck (albeit the other seasons were largely injury shortened - not that different from Jovo's time here).

Had success with other teams and had one good season with us.

I can see where the lure comes with voting for him. I don't agree with it.

I was tempted to go with Ronning, but I think in a few years time we'll look back and see that Burrows has been a very important & notable player for this franchise in the post-lockout era. Think of all the big goals he's scored and how much he's shaped the image of this team, for better or worse.

Anyway, voted Burr. Also, I agree with the suggestion to add Bieksa.

That's fine and dandy, but I'm pretty sure this is for what players have accomplished opposed to what they haven't accomplished.

I think we go with Edler ahead of Bieksa right now.

Either way, Butcher and Kearns before both of them.
