Hartnell vs. JVR in Hurricane Sandy relief donations contest; Op. Hat Trick (Nov. 24)

Any reason why this hasn't been posted yet? Anyone going?

Quote:
Scott Hartnell is pretty revved up about next Saturday’s “Operation Hat Trick” in Atlantic City, N.J., that will benefit relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

“Brad Richards will captain the one team and I’ll captain the other,” Hartnell said of the game at Boardwalk Hall. “This is pretty cool. Brad’s been doing stuff out there on Staten Island. Maybe we’ll have some Rangers-Flyers battles out there.”

Game time is 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. and are priced from $20 to $100.
Quote:
Hartnell and Richards will be joined by South Jersey’s Bobby Ryan, Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn, Dan Carcillo, James van Riemsdyk, Justin Williams, Simon Gagne, Ville Leino, Steve Eminger, Jeff Halpern, Brian Boyle, Jody Shelley and James Neal.
live radio and internet audio broadcast of the game via 97.3 ESPN Radio.

Apparently plans have changed or maybe he's leaving later.

If Shelley would just jump him...that would make the perfect package I guess. Watching James Neal getting pummeled for a good cause.

Or maybe he is a nice guy, and actually cares about the area he lives in?

That'd be awesome if Shelley took revenge on Neal for Couts and G...in a charity game

Neal deserves to get his face smashed in. I would take everything bad I said about Shelley if he did it

I believe that David Clarkson has signed on to be in the game.. Would be awesome if we could get Marty Brodeur in the game

@TGfireandice: Add David Clarkson to list of players committed to play in Operation Hat Trick charity game Nov. 24 in AC. Possible more Devs to be added.

That was my thinking.. And the tickets seem to be going fast, especially with more NHL talent joining the game.. I'm sure they'll sell out

FYI -

@BroadStBull: RT @LHillaryCSN: Stamkos, Perry and Doughty have been added to list. #AC #Charitygame

I can't wait for this and its shaping up to be biggest hockey event of the year. Todd Fedoruk tweeted earlier that most of the lineup will be announced tomorrow.

Boardwalk Hall is an amazing venue. I used to go to many a game there back when the Bullies played there.

I grew up in and around AC and its great to see these guys giving back to the area.

I wish this was televised! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun. There have been a lot of charity games like this taking place in Canada and the US.

Time is definitely running out. Very limited, probably only a few hundred or so left.
