Preseason GDT: Wolves at Admirals

I held off on creating this because I wasn't sure if the AHL would have livescoring for a preseason game..but they do.

In the first, the Ads are up 3-0 on goals from Vern Fiddler(Haydar) and two of the tryouts- Tab Lardner(Paul Brown) and Lee Borsheim(shorthanded). Lehtonen isn't in net, at least yet, while Finley started the game in net for the Ads.

Also, Shishkanov, Gamache, Hamhuis, Smith, Tootoo, Hutchinson are not in the lineup.

I can't tell if those players are playing due to the fact some people are just show as "new player" on Milwaukee's roster

I figured they might have but on the AHL site, 2 of Milwaukee's players are just "new player" and thats all thats there for them. #23 and #26 is who I'm referring to. they are listed as player, new

I think they gave the 3rd goal to Cam Severson instead of Lee Boersheim.

They might be there as NMK said because they have split squad. Or they might be there because they are new. They'll probably play all the new guys at first to figure out who is worthy of a long look. Players like Shish, Hamhuis, Tootoo and Co. are absolute locks to make the team. It isn't as necessary for them to play the full preseason slate. Play the new guys a game or two and figure out who brought their A game to the AHL level and go from there.

it's number 23, if that means anything to anyone.

Finley played his half the game to a shutout, making 20 saves. Kotyk has made four saves, thus far.

new player was Jeremy Yablonski, and JC Ruid rounded out the scoring. Kotyk's shutout was broken when Kevin Douell scored for the Wolves. The Ads are up 5-1.

"all the wrong people" are getting most of the icetime. in fact, "all the wrong people" comprise most of the roster, right now. you won't often see enforcer jeremy yablonski on the power play

that's because it was an hour and a half away from milwaukee, in suburban "fon-du-lac." It wasn't at a full size arena.

How many fans would Centenial seat? Thats essentially where they play the preseason games. I didn't go to Fond du Lac, but I suspect that the facility is comparable to the Kern which has roughly 9 rows of metal bleachers on one side of the rink.

this isn't the NHL, we don't play our games in our barns.

Hey Eriks, are seasons ticket sales up for Milwaukee? If they don't try and gouge the fans, this could be a really big year in terms of building the fanbase. They have just come off winning the Calder AND they have several huge names coming in (Suter, Hamhuis, Tootoo) to go along with the already talented core.

tickets are up "slightly" I was told. To take advantage of the things you mentioned, would involve "Advertising" something the budget doesn't include until after the Packers are done in January.
