The Devils should be ahead of us in the standings.

After all, they're above .500 and we're just a .500 team.

Important two points tonight.

Bill Thomas was put on waivers.

Either Madden makes his debut, or it just means that Barch is back in the lineup.

And if they beat us tonight and win there next game they will have played as many games as us and they will be ahead of us if it comes down to tie breakers because they have more wins. The panthers have 20 wins and 20 losses that is a 500 team. I never said anything about the point system. We are ahead in points but good teams have winning records. The number of OTL's we have is getting scary and could come back to bite us. That's all I'm saying. And I'm sick of all these OTL's.

And for Pete's sake beat PDB tonight. Go Cats.

Don't have official word he's playing yet. I'll have to update the roster once we know who's replacing Thomas, because Barch is also eligible to return. I would hope that Barch isn't kicking out Thomas, though.

Also I should almost change the primary target, because Elias is playing his 1000th game tonight and he has always owned us. That doesn't bode well.

New thread, happy thread!!! :-)

Absolutely right Eric big 2 points! Devils have played well this last month, but have lost last couple... Good team that we may be fighting for a spot come April. One of those 4 point games.
I like how we look coming into tonight. The wildcard is of course markstrom; hoping he gets to make a few easy saves to start and gets a good feel of the puck. The devils crowd not intimidating, so not concerned there.
We win, we had an awesome 50 pt half.
LGP!!

Important two points but to put things in perspective...
Win or lose tonight, if we do the same thing in the 2nd half that we did in the 1st half (results-wise), we're a playoff team.

Markstrom is certainly capable of a big game. It all depends on whether or not it's his night tonight. He's had some very good ones, he's had some bad ones (actually, this year, only one bad so far).

Kennedy has also been sent down, reports the Florida Panthers official twitter.

Maybe both Barch and Madden will play?

OnFrozenPond: With the #FlaPanthers putting Bill Thomas on waivers and sending Tim Kennedy to @SARampage, look for John Madden to make Fla debut #NjDevils

both Barch and Madden look like a go!!!

last email from NJ gdt, looks like trouble in paradise.

Pete is just laughably pathetic at this point.....in his media scrum after the morning skate, he says the team needs the bottom six to be more of a factor in the games and says how he looked at bostons and how good they were. and with that he keeps both boulton and janssen in while putting sestito on the third line. is there anything else necessary to prove how much of a moron this guy is? .....go back to coaching pee-wees pete

Im sure many like him, just amused as the last post when i went on.
