Lundqvist and McDonagh were brilliant tonight... Best players on the ice...

The penalty call on Staal was a total "make-up call" for having to disallow the goal after the incidental contact was make on Henke to deny the Pens their goal.
I thought Sam & Joe did mention it? Something about Malkin coming off the bench after the puck was thrown down the rink... Guess he wouldn't even be near that puck without that.

Yeah, and I know who the beatles are, I don't know any of their album/song names though.

Was twist and shout like a really popular one or something?

Pretty much only because of that movie, imo. I'm only 19 so I can't really answer that one. For a Beatles song, it's not even close to one of their most popular songs. But for an average song, I think it's popular enough that almost everyone should know.

He was stellar.

I was on the Devils board a couple days back, discussing the evolution of Henke's game. One of the things I noted was the improvement of his glove hand. Man, was the glove on full display tonight.

As i said in the GDT. I think Sam and Joe screwed up. I believe the call was for deliberate offside. As the play was happening, Malkin was at the right boards and offside as the puck was played in. Even though Girardi 'iced' the puck, the whistle blew before he touched it as Malkin failed to go back onsides.

Sam and Joe often mix up deliberate offsides & icing.

The Isley Brothers were the first band to have a hit with "Twist and Shout" in the early 60s. The Beatles version was one of their first hits. It's still one of the most popular songs to cover live. Bruce Springsteen often plays it as an encore. #Themoreyouknow

As for the game, McD is a beast. McD, Hank and Dubinsky are my stars, with honorable mention to Cally and Richards. Richards has been playing great recently.

Would anyone mind making a video compilation (YouTube) of Hank's saves last night. That glove was on fire.

Would anyone mind doing it?

9-1 in division

#1 in division, conference, and league

this is unreal. I thought this would be a good team. I picked them to win the division. But this is going beyond what I expected.

I WANT BOSTON NOW!!!

If you go to the boards of the teams we defeat, we are not that good. That's actually just how I want to be perceived.

Still think Boston is the best team in the league, I don't think that's even debatable at this point. But this team is showing exactly what I expected this season. I didn't believe we'd start the regular season off this strong, and I'm still leery of an extended slump at some point, but what is most important is that we know we have the ability the compete with anybody in the league in a seven game series. This team believes in each other, they believe in their game, and there's enough talent right now to win. Yes, it would be nice to add another scorer somewhere and get Sauer back. If Dubinsky continues to play this way I think the 2LW spot is fine. Torts has stuck with Arty-Step-Gabby almost all season despite their play tailing off lately. I agree with that. I've been saying since day 1 he needed to just leave Dubi with Richie and Cally. I think that should be the case here. Really just hope Staal stays healthy the rest of the year and I'm really excited to get Sauer back. The thing we forget is just how depleted this defense corps has been this season and it hasn't slowed us down one bit. Steve Eminger, Jeff Woywitka, Anton Stralman, Stu Bickel all playing important roles and playing well. That is huge.

Wow. I chalked this down as a lose before we started, i said the only way we would win this is if Lundqvist was an Animal. Well, he was, and then some.

I love this team so much.

And we are 9-0 in the last 9 division games right? The only game i remember losing was that early game of the season vs the Isles.

A 7 game series against Boston, if both teams are healthy, is going to be amazing. Hopefully it's the ECF.

Easily the Pens announcers who are the worst in the league. How long are you gonna whine about the shot totals in the first period. WAAAHHHH.
Not even close. The Flyers play by play guy ever time a Flyer scores a goal " For a taste of tasteycakes". It makes me want to vomit.

Oh god yeah, that's so lame.

I find it amazing that after a 26-9-4 record other teams' fans still claim it's all luck.
