Gelinas leads all AHL defensemen in goals? Me gusta.
Going to a baby Devs game is kinda refreshing in that regard. Both Gelinas and Urbom absolutely LOVE to have the puck on their stick in the offensive zone. It's something I haven't seen on the Devils in awhile, except for very recently with Zidlicky.
It`s not his puck luck that keeps him away from the big club lineup. Janssen/Mills/Boulton can`t score to save their lives either. But we all know DeBoer`s preference. If Zharkov played with an edge, just like Kovy against Florida, he`d be in, mark my words. I still hope he can develop a bit of a mean streak and get a call up. I recall several people talking about his frustration, he obviously thinks he belongs. I agree with him, but he has to show *something*, defense isn`t going to cut it (although I`d say it should).
Oh I totally agree with you there. What I'm saying is that if he scored more goals while he was in NJ last season instead of having horrible luck he'd pretty much force Pete to play him; even if Pete wanted to dress his goon. I think for most other coaches in the league he would definitely be on the team. Unfortunately, and it's the one real criticism I have of Pete, he likes him some goon on the 4th line. Unless you can bring a good amount of offense, you won't beat out the goon for the final spot. With Josefson back I'd like to see Zharkov in for Carter, but I already mentioned that won't happen with Petes ties to Carter.

It's something we need in a hurry. I want both of them to get legitimate shots at making the team out of camp next season.
