Someone actually said that Eller is a better stickhandler than Kadri lol. I can accept a person taking Eller over Kadri but saying he is a better stick handler than Kadri is just a straight up LIE.

Kadri has the best stick skills out of everyone listed by a LONG shot, kid has sweet hands.

Kadri is very skilled offensive player. He may not do much in defense, but he has the best stickhandling skills on the team (yes even more than kessel). He was very good in a game versus the wings. Even though he didn't contribute to the scoreboard, he made very good passes which his linemates were unable to score. He is probably best shootout guy the leafs have in there organization. I have never seen such incredibles moves done before than kadri. He scored on timmy thomas twice in the shootout! Not only that but he's very creative and also a bit of an agitator. He is also very good on the pp with his creativity and passing ability. You can teach defense, but you can't teach the moves kadri has.

LOL @ Leafs fans

Offense: Hodgson right now (potentially Kadri in the future)
Defense: Eller, AINEC
Special teams: Eller mainly because he can play in both situations... 2 SH goals and 1 PP goal

Career stats:
Hodgson: 26 pts in 50 games (.52 per game)
Kadri: 17 pts in 41 games (.41 per game)
Eller: 36 pts in 122 games (0.30 per game)

Eller is the biggest guy and is extremely skilled. As a Habs fan, I wouldn't switch Eller for Hodgson/Kadri because we need size up front. He's also starting to produce at a faster pace since we got rid of Martin.

I guess my ranking would be:
Hodgson
Eller
Kadri (has yet to play a full season in the NHL)

eller's defense doesn't make up for kadri's offense.

but i don't care enough to argue with habs fans.

I think Eller is the best stickhandler on the Habs. If that helps. He isn't exactly flashy about it to the point where it has become "common knowledge" that he's so good at it, but it is his #1 strength IMHO. He makes a lot of use of his reach to good effect. He does need to harness his skill there a bit better... gain confidence at using some of his moves, and then make some better plays after he gets a successful outcome from it. Sometimes he'll make a sweet move and then throw the puck away fruitlessly (or in the past Martin regime, make a sweet move and then find he's all alone as everybody else has peeled off for a change). Style is like Spezza IMHO. Results aren't anywhere close yet, however.

Kadri is getting pretty badly underrated for a guy who hasn't even played a full season.

I would personally go with Hodgson though. I think we'll see him centering a 2nd line with kes on the wing (sharing FO duties) at which point his points should dramatically increase.

Your saying hodgson has more offensive than kadri? Kadri is the most dynamic forward next to kessel.

Eller is good, but imo kadri and hodgson are better than him right now.

There's more to producing offense than being dynamic. Hodgson plays exactly like Joe Pavelski - keep it simple, lots of pucks at the net and drive there for rebounds. Hodgson, like Pavelski isn't flashy but he gets results.

Not to mention consistency plays a HUGE role in offensive output. Hard to argue Kadri being more consistent than a guy like Hodgson...

You could make a case Kadri has the potential to score more points in a season than Hodgson ever will. When it comes to realizing that potential, Hodgson's work ethic and consistency will be a factor IMO.

Dynamic does not mean productive... right now Hodgson is the one putting up more pts. I did however say that Kadri has the potential to be better.

Kadri has the highest ceiling of the three so I would take a chance on him.

Eller is doing pretty good but I would pick Hodgson, not because he is on the Canucks but because he is my favorite rookie, I like his shots he is putting up good points for the third line and I can see him being on the 2nd line one day.

Eller is better than Kadri. Hodgson is playing better than both right now. They're all still young but I suspect it will end up that way.

Hodgson > Eller > Kadri

Hodgson for me like the player a lot. Then I take Kadri as I think being two draft classes behind Eller I'd take a chance on more development moving forward for him.

Hodgson
Kadri
Eller

Hodgson and Kadri are pretty close and we will see who ends up at top by the end of the year since both should be in the NHL for the rest of the year. Hodsgon has had an extra development year since being drafted but had the back problems but they are around the same age.

And why is Eller 3rd on your list? Probably never seen him play.
