Charging was called on SJ...

Yes, the refs screwed up. It was not charging. Semin had his head down and got rocked. You repay that by rocking the guy who made the hit when he has his head down on the next shift. I'm overreacting to this particular, not very egregious example because I'm sick of seeing it. I'm all for fighting, but doing so in response to clean hits implies that there's something wrong with making clean hits. It's sickening and childish.

Was that a delayed penalty?

If Ovi didn't jump the guy, the probably wouldn't have called a charge.

I would like to see you go out there and not react to that hit.

Huh? Who cares, I have counted 7 or so missed holding calls, these Sharks are cheating POS, they have a little tactic they all use, they use their elbow to lock an opposing players stick or hand to their body, remind me of the pathetic stick to the head of Tim Thomas Sean Avery childish look while they are doing it.

You should have done it.

DIRTY!

Then add the sarcasm icon on an edit a few minutes later.

Back on your point, Ovi led the team jumping that guy. The rest watched. He lays someone out now, he has to battle SJs team himself. 7 minutes left, probably best to keep it clean and get outta there. We went with a soft lineup.

I just DVR'd. Penalties coming here is what JoeB said as Ovi started attacking. The near ref did not raise his arm. Joe usually says its a delayed penalty coming.

Did you think that was a textbook charge or.... more like a rough or interference.

Hasn't been a bad game. I would have liked the score to be different, but not overly bad. Caps had their chances. Disappointing to lose a game with the standings so close, but that is life.

rh...if you want to think that the referees agreed that they thought ov jumping thornton was entertaining and wanted to see a little four on four and created a call they werent otherwise going to make, feel free.

caps momentum is unfortunately broken. losing in la will stunt it all together. green isnt coming back anytime soon, i think. i'd be surprised if 19 plays in la as well.

Not a bad game, just some... unfortunate occurances/bounces i guess.
Oh well at least they aren't in the East.
On to the next one.

I think so too. San Jose is a very good team when they are on their game, and an almost unbeatable team when they are on their game at home.

If Ovi and the rest of the team come out and compete like this every game for the rest of the season there won't be an issue making the playoffs.

Too many mental lapses, but not a poorly played game.

Shocker that Green went down.

the problem with ovis fit imo is that he doesnt do it if its any other cap on the end of the hit. and if im right in that...thats f'ing childish, not captain material.

Sucks to lose your best center and arguably your best player in the midst of a streak of really good play.

At least Ovi brought it today and good to see Ward get some confidence and actually act like he gave a damn about playing hockey for once.

I am ok with the loss. We showed a little fight and Ward finally scored. Nick out just makes me think we should have tossed Sjorgen a bone instead of Eakin on one of his callups. Not that he would be a savior, but he instantly be our big body at C for these west coast teams.

Next to sneak in for a callup if possible, Holtby. Lets keep him motivated. Heck, I think he may be our best goalie, to boot.

Tex you have seen calls evened up when nothing would have been called had someone not taken action. Roll back the DVR. There is no proof at all that there was a delayed penalty. Do not deny this.

Win or lose, DH reached his goal here. Joel Ward is in Awake Mode. Counting that, the positives far outweigh the negatives.
