Dave Bolland

Chicago trade block: Bickell, Frolik, Montador and now Bolland.

Toronto fans we don't want Kadri or other prospects to get worse this year. We are trying to get better for a Cup run.

Anaheim would be a suitable trade partner.

The Blackhawks primary need is a #3-4 defenseman. We may even take 2 defenseman like a #2 and a #4 but Montador would have to be in that trade. Chicago needs to upgrade on defense bigtime!

Chicago does not want a offensive player or defensive player with over a 6m cap hit.

We could package Bolland, Frolik & Montador in a deal with Anaheim. Anaheim has top 6 forwards and possibly a defenseman that could work.

We're not looking to offload any forwards in our top 6, except possibly Blake. Even if RPG was moved, it would happen in the summer.

We don't want Frolik. We definitely don't want Montador.

What would you give for Robidas or Grossman

Stay at home Dman or Offensive/mobile type?

I have always wanted Bolland + Beach on the leafs. And wonder what it would take to get it done.

Like you said no Kadri, which makes sense for us aswell.

Aulie or Franson + MacArthur ?
for
Bolland + Beach + 2nd* (condition that he plays, injury in mind)

3rd line:
Lombardi-Bolland-Kadri

I understand Bolland hasn't had a good season. But the Blackhawks aren't the Leafs. It's about the playoffs. Bolland being traded should never be considered unless he brings his poor performances to playoff time - which he has yet to do.

Besides, Marcus Kruger is out indefinitely with a concussion and the Hawks are already short a center.

Beach is available...

We do not need a puck moving defenseman. I was thinking a shot blocker would be perfect or someone with decent PP or PK skills. A defensive defenseman with grit doesn't have to be huge, but no undersized defenseman.

MacArthur I don't think he has super value. I always liked MacArthur and would take him in a trade. Yet the main piece would be Frolik or Beach not Bolland.

The only way we trade Bolland is for a #2 or #3 defenseman if we trade for a #4 defenseman then maybe things could get interesting where we send Frolik, Beach, Draft Pick & Montador for MacArthur and 2 defenseman depending on the two defenseman that we would get. If you offer a depth defenseman that would determine if Bolland is in the deal.

It's too early for this. Bolland usually turns it on late into the season and in the playoffs. Would you like me to look up his stats for the Cup winning season? They were putrid, except for the playoffs. I know he was injured, he's been hurt this year as well. If he doesn't end up showing up the rest of the season and is dormant in the playoffs, then we can talk about trading him.

Unfortunately, his value is higher now than it will be if that happens. However, I don't want to give up on him just yet. We can't afford it, especially with Kruger out.

According to who ?

-----------------------------------------

Bolland has not been underperforming imo. If you look at the guys defensive plays you know im right.

Only thing i have seen Bolland do serious mistakes this year is he has missed couple open nets and not scored (that's unlike him tho). He has made good passes out there, smart plays with puck.
Well why there is no production then ?
I have watched every Hawks game except 1 this year and i can tell you line juggling is affecting Bollands game, and Bickell has SUCKED big time this season, not helping Bolland at all.

Actually i think Q doesnt want to move Bickell any other line coz only one who can carry that dude at the moment is Bolland...

Bolland needs wingers who actually work and can cycle the puck (NOT Hossa, i have counted 4 2on1's with Hoss and Bolland and none of them have resulted into a goal and Hossa has not passed the puck single time even tho he should have passed..).

2011-2012 GP G A P +/- TOI/G FO%
Mikhail Grabovski 34 12 11 23 +1 17:03 49.4
Dave Bolland 37 8 8 16 -6 16:04 46.5

Definitely better offensive numbers this season for Grabovski so far, however no playoff experience.

I don't think Bolland is going anywhere but the Canes would probably look at something around Gleason for Bolland.

Not gonna happen.

Gleason to Hawks, yes please, but you aint getting Center out from Chicago.
We need to add center, not get rid of them.

Bolland? He's a shut-down machine. Why would he be traded?

Because we Hawks fans seem to want our 3rd line center to produce 60 point pace.
And not be streaky. And win Faceoffs against 1st line centers with over 90% efficiency.

**** the D, just score goals, worked fine for Washington too.

If Bolland is on the block I can see San Jose and Vancouver gunning hard to make sure the other and Chicago doesn't have him come playoff time. I personally don't think it'd be a good idea to Chicago to get rid of him outside of ridiculous overpayment or as part of a package to land a guy like Parise or Suter. Dude's money in the playoffs when it comes to shutting down opposing teams. But yeah I'd love if Chicago got rid of him. Would make them easier in the playoffs.

There's no chance Bolland gets traded unless it is to bring in a legitimate top 6 center.

This.

I think Fantasy Hockey and statistics have done some damage to peoples Hockey IQ.

You need to go to pre lock-out when Selke trophy actually went to players who deserved it, and not get it by scoring fancy goals.

Bolland's numbers aren't impressive but he's key to Chicago's playoff success so I can't see them doing this. I think they realize the importance of having him on a shutdown line.

Really? You guys have the #1 and #7 shot blockers in the league in Hjalmarsson and Seabrook. Still, maybe you'd be interested in Hamrlik? He's picked up his play significantly since the coaching change, and his primary defensive skill is blocking shots. I've got no delusions he'd land us Bolland, but what would you give us for him?

He's better than every centre on the Jets. I don't think you're in a position to chirp.
