Great win, nice to see them come back after a lethargic 1st, and still dominate 3rd periods. We really needed those 2 points considering we had less GP than most teams ahead of us, with the rough road trip coming up.

Benn's beast mode is amazing, Gully has no choice but to keep double shifting him. Battling through these injuries seems to be making Riberio more motivated on the ice. Loui quietly putting up points and playing well defensively. Bachman showing us all he can be a solid backup in the league and give Kari the rest he needs.

Make it 3 in a row in Anaheim!

Quick fact that MIGHT get Lobo scared.

I'm 2-0-0 when making GDT this season and when the Stars score, my posts are almost as good as Lobo's. JUST SAYING

Very satisfying win! Great game!

It was a grind but luckily those missed 2vs1s didn't come to haunt us..

Nice win! Bachman was great. Feels good to have a pair like Kari-Bachs now permanently.
But man, finishing was horrendous tonight, Morrow, Dvorak, Fiddler, even sniper Ryder...could've scored so much more.

Ribeiro should get the nerf sword, thats for sure. And Benn, just wow.
E: Or nevermind, forgot the meaning of the sword for a moment

I don't think they do the nerf sword this year. I believe that was Brad's thing, as the Rangers now have something similar.

Oh? I thought Burish started it.

I still find it funny that people thought Loui would struggle without Richards.

Loui's got 38 points now and is +14.

Richards has 31 points and is -1.

Those same people say the same thing about Stamkos and St. Louis.

Maybe, but I hadn't heard anything about it this year, and the fact that the Rangers are now doing it when they hadn't before made me think it was Richards' idea.

To be fair Richards has been extremely clutch for NYR and is on pace for 30+ goals this year. He's changed his game dramatically as he's no longer playing with a guy like Riberio on the PP to set him up. On his line he's playing with 2 Neal-like Grinders in Callahan and Duby, and he's turned into more of the shooter than playmaker for that reason.

Still it is ridic people thought Loui was a product of Richards. As Piqued said, it was more the other way around.

Or how about all our negative part-time postertrolls on here who ridiculed those of us who thought Benn could soak up Ribs' 2nd line-level production? And now their idol Richards (the supposedly irreplaceable one) is getting left in the dust. 10 points behind Benn and counting.

I think most of the people would just rather have kept the guy who had put up back to back point a game seasons for us. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that we won't have Richards on the books for another 8 years or whatever, but there is no denying that the team would be better with Richards on it. And our power play sucks. Also, the Rangers with Richards are at the top of the NHL.

Our team would be amazing with Richards + Ryder/Dvorak/Souray/Nystrom/Bachman/Fiddler etc. Benn has taken the reigns nicely, but imagine still having last years PP on top of Richards in the top 6 instead of Ott.

But obviously that couldn't have happened. Gaglardi came a few months too late.

While we are on the topic of comparing Richards to current Stars players. How about this one?

I miss Richards very little right now.

I just want Eriksson to finish with more points than Richards, ending the theory that Eriksson was a product of Richards. So right now it's looking good.
