So with Nittymaki on waivers, does JR put in a claim to help Cam so Pete Dawg can go back to Charlotte?
No real reason to. Muse is doing well, so unless Murphy is really hurt (he tweaked something in warmups the other day and missed the game) then I think he'll just stay in Raleigh.

Hmmm, well apparently they have brought in some kid named Pier-Olivier Pelletier to back up Muse.
But thinking about it, its not like we are making the playoffs, so we might as well just roll with Peters.

He's from St-Louis-du-Ha!Ha!, Quebec. How can you not like that? Anyway looks like he's bounced around the low minors - stints in the ECHL, LNAH, CHL, and AHL. Most recently played for the Evansville IceMen in the CHL.
Not really. It's half off regular menu prices. Not much cheaper than the specials. You're saving about $3 on a large specialty. So it's not like it will bankrupt them.
I found it interesting. One thing that jumped out to me is that we are in hopes of having new TV and radio deals done shortly. It would be awesome if we can get to the point where we aren't missing random coverage throughout the season.
Also nice to hear we might, for the first time, be able to try and go after a top free agent this summer.

50% off an order of, say, 10 large specialty pizzas with 3 boxes of breadsticks is a lot of scratch.
JR has no choice but to make a strong move or two, in my opinion. If he doesn't, the team will likely be worse off next year than they were this year and in years prior, even though some of these "productive" guys they've lost and are losing have been here and been apart of the problem. You can only continue losing your top productive guys (Ruutu, Cole, Stillman, Whitney, Cullen, etc) in back-to-back-to back years before you will feel the effects of it, especially when your prospects and/or free agent acquisitions aren't stepping up and filling those holes.
With Ruutu, Gleason, Spacek, Allen, etc. coming off the books, JR will likely need to spend money in order to reach the cap floor. I see some raises will come in effect, and without doing the numbers here, i'm sure they won't cover getting to the cap floor.
I'd venture a guess that the Canes will be in relatively the same cap position next season, just with some new and maybe comparable salaries and bodies replacing some of the guys who are leaving.
Nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see what JR does.
I saw a commercial on the NBC sports network (the old Versus). Said Friday night is college night and they have 2 games televised. 1st game is BC vs. Vermont and 2nd game is Minnesota vs. Denver. A chance to see Duomolin and Alt play in those games for those interested.

Immediately recorded both of them, thanks for the heads up!
Probably won't be able to watch them Friday night, but seeing as the only reason I'll be watching in the first place is for Alt and Dumoulin, it doesn't really matter WHEN I watch them...
