Yeah. I'm listening the game on radio and it sounds like KalPa really deserve to be three goals down. Looks like we're going to lose for the first time this season.

Well, Hall scored his goal at the end of the second period and KalPa starts the third on power play. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

No, that can't be right. The game ended ten minutes ago and the final score was 5-1. At least I think it was...

Apparently it can. The commentator on the radio mentioned nothing about the sixth goal...

And it gets even funnier - now they've changed the score to 5-1!

So the commentator was right after all!

Does "Väkivaltaisuus" mean roughing?

And what do these mean?

Selästä taklaaminen
Automaattinen käytösrangaistus
Poikittainen maila
Kampitus
Estäminen
Koukkaaminen

We could all learn Finnish from reading these stats!

Väkivaltaisuus = Roughing

Selästä taklaaminen = Checking from behind

Automaattinen käytösrangaistus = I don't know the exact term in English, but it's the 10 minutes penalty you get when you give a piece of your mind to the ref and other things like that.

Poikittainen maila = Cross checking

Kampitus = Tripping

Estäminen = Interference

Koukkaaminen = Hooking

Probably will. KalPa's next match is at home against Jokipojat who have only one point this far.

Sounds like unsportsmanlike conduct but do you get 10 min for that or just 2? Or did they give him 10 for a game misconduct in the same concept?

Thanks for the translations!

Forget what I wrote earlier - "Automaattinen käytösrangaistus" means that he automaticly got the 10 minutes penalty. So he didn't get it for saying something to the ref.

What he got was:
2 minutes for checking from behind + 10 minutes automatic game misconduct.

Not really. Game misconduct would be pelirangaistus, which is 20 minutes here. In NHL and North American rules the game misconduct is also 10 minutes in statistics. What he got has to be just a misconduct penalty.

Denis Arkhipov currently has 4 g, 4a for Kazan Ak-Bars. Incidentally..his teammate..Vitali Yachmenev...has the same amount

Interetsingly enough, "this organization is a dead end" denis platonov is on that team as well, as is ilya kovalchuk.

There was an interview of Kimmo Timonen on today's local newspaper (Savon Sanomat).

Kimmo will probably sign a contact with Brynäs (Swedish elite league) that will last a month and a half. In January he'll join KalPa as he's told earlier. Timonen has also other options (in Sweden and Switzerland), but he'll probably choose Brynäs 'cause his childhood friend Tommi Miettinen plays there.

KalPa-Jokipojat 10-3 (2-0, 6-2, 2-1)
Adam Hall (KalPa) 1+1

KalPa were so much superior, that every single KalPa player looked good, including Adam.

10-3

I'll have to look up what kind of totals that gives hall now.

You are right, Znojmos defense is very poor, despite they have K. Rachunek, Bicanek... They have changed coach so I expect improvement ... With Havlat, Elias and also Pucher, Uram and Roman Erat (brother of Martin) they must be in top 8.

In weekend´s games:

Martin Erat had no point was -1 and had 25 pim on Friday´s home loss with Vsetin. Erat was involved in fight at the end of the game. All players on the ice was involved so they all received 5 minutes for fighting and 20 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduction and had automatic penalty for one game. So in today´s game he didn´t play.

Tomas Vokoun had 35 saves with 3 goals in 2-3 loss in Liberec on Friday and today he had 12 saves with 3 goals in 25 minutes in home loss 3-4 with Kladno. He was replaced after third goal in his net and fans in stands chanted the name of backup goalie. The fans are quite angry with actual situation in Znojmo.

Vladimir Orszagh had no point in two games was +1 and had 2 pim.

Timonen has signed a week long contract with HC Lugano (Swiss elite league). Alex Tanquay had to leave Lugano due to an injury and so they were able to sign one more foreign player. Timonen will play three matches in Switzerland.

Hartnell had his debut today along with Travis Brigley.

Both played well considering its their first game here. Even if the level isn't the best, you can just stroll onto a team. Hartnell was very good for our powerplay unit, and he was very hard to move from the slot.

Our team is really struggling defensively this season, and things didn't help when our #1 goalkeeper got injured during the warm up.

Our team isnt used to losing much so the game got quite scrappy. This club has only missed the playoffs once since 1960 (no typo). The ambition is still to win the league.

Match statistics can be found on this link .

Scott Hartnell will have a chat session with a major newspaper live tomorrow. You can send in questions here .

Videos of the goals and other situations will be put on the web in a few days.

Also two guys with digital cameras were there and they usually add their pics the same day. I'll add the links to their websites when they are ready.

Kimmo Timonen debuted tonight in the Swiss league when his team HC Lugano lost to EV Zug 5-2 (1-1,2-0,2-1). All I know about Kimmo's performance is that he didn't score any points and he didn't get any penalties.

If somebody who saw the match is reading this thread, I'd be very intrested in hearing how Kimmo played.

In Tuesday´s games:

Tomas Vokoun wasn´t in goal.

Vladimir Orszagh had no point in 3-1 win against Liptovsky Mikulas.

Martin Erat had one goal and two assists and was +3 in 7-1 win against Jihlava.
He has now 19 points in 18 games for 8 goals and 11 assists. He is +9 in +/- and has 49 pim. He is actually 6th in points overall.
