Why does it seem like everyone on every other team we face can handle a puck like you'd expect an NHLer to be able to, yet we only have a few guys that can do it?

Players only meeting after the game? Big shock, could probably have one of those after every loss this year.

Thankfully, we are not a terrible home team so we should at least be able to get some confidence back, I just hope a terrible road trip doesn't rub off on their home efforts.

You can spot holes, sweet. Do you know which players we can get to fill those holes right this instant? And that are readily available right now?

As for your post I agree. There are serious issues with this team and this has been the case since 2006. This team consistently finds a way to lose...thats the hallmark of a culture of losing which seems to be embedded rather firmly in this organization.
Who's been around since 2006 Hmmmmm

I'd give anything for this team to be good. When it happens I'm going to be celebrating in the streets all season long with the rest of you

I'm not sure if it takes a math degree to figure out that doing worse than last is impossible. But trust me, it is.

Losing is acceptable to you Tad, its okay I understand, some of us though would like to watch a winning team. Finishing second best for many hockey games is not something to be proud of. Tell us all Tad, where is the pride emanating from this organization? Other than succeeding at drafting first overall two years running, what has the organization done effectively to turn the fortunes of the team around. The only thing that the team has done well is the minor league team, I will give credit for that. Hard though for the developing young players going from what is becoming a good learning environment to one that losing is acceptable.

Exactly. Every other team seems to look like an all-star team, seems to end a losing streak, or ends a specific players drought when playing against us.

It was no fluke. MacT, love him or hate him, took a bunch of mediocre, make it into the playoffs by 1 point, and played them brilliantly ... out coaching every team along the way. MacT >>>>>> KLowe!

Show me where I said losing was acceptable. Please don't put words in my mouth.

I don't know where the pride is. I'm not with the organization. Never will be, just like the majority of the posters here.

You all want change, but have no idea who to put in. And even if we put someone new in (stealing a page from Narnia), you guys would ***** and moan about that too.

You can't win here. You simply cannot win here.

I'm tired of finishing last every year and we are on pace to be in that same place this year with the way we are playing.
Just don't know what to say anymore
The alarming frequency of bodies dropping from this team makes now the absolute WORST time to consider any type of trade. That ship has sailed and won't return until we get some players back in time for the trade deadline. Not a hell of a lot he can do right at this moment.

Thats the thing isn't it....if we are to believe the Oilers 'plan' then we are 3 years into a rebuild and no measurable improvement in the standings.

This team has 9 wins and 21 losses since November. There is no reason to think that trend will change for the remainder of the season because the personnel (which was bottom 5 before the season started) has gotten even worse with the injuries.

We are watching an organization that represents itself with abject failure.

i think i'd like to see this next game:

Hall-Gagner-Hemsky
Smyth-Horcoff-Paajarvi
Jones-Belanger-Eager
Hartikainen-Lander-Petrell

give MPS 1st unit PP time

get Hordi back in for the Ducks game.

Agreed. This is a scenario that repeats itself over and over. The team needs help...Tambo does nothing...injuries come along...now Tambo can't do anything.

Rinse and repeat.

Honestly. What can the fans do to change this franchise around?

Somehow, I don't think saying fire X and trade Y, is going to do....jack squat.
True but that is the natural reaction of passionate fans when the team has been in a downward spiral for 5 years. I too think that people go overboard a lot but the uproar is somewhat understandable considering the recent failures of the franchise.

what? your whole attitude is the oilers are all right the fans should shut up and spend there money to watch a **** team, putting any top 4 d-men on this team instead of half the d would make this team better

Thanks for proving my point.

That's what I want to high light. WE dont know anything about that type of stuff. So what's the point of saying we should get rid of someone when we don't know how to replace them.

And i'm not talking about tambo or renney. They can be idiots or gods, it doesn't matter. It's about the fans.
