Top 6 Winger to Colorado

Not using: Duchene, Johnson, Landeskog, O'Reilly, and Varlamov.

Leaving guys like Quincey, Stastny, Galiardi, Mueller, Jones, Wilson, etc.

It seems a Mid Level Prospect and a Pick would get the job done.

Gaunce + 2nd for Ruutu is a pretty good deal, and I know at least 1 Canes fan said this was good value and he would probably do it.

Quincey is going to be worth alot, after what Yzerman said yesterday, guys like Quincey will fetch a high return, I really think the Avs should explore there Options with him and see what we could get. If we could get a Top 6 Guy and a 2nd round pick or something I would do it.

I think our best chance would be a signing in the off season. Hopefully ownership would be willing to ante up for Parise, with the big if he becomes available. But that is likely a pipe dream.

Value wise it's close, but Avs aren't interested in getting even smaller at center.

How about something like:

To NYI:
Jones
Barrie

To Col:
Okposo
Bailey

NYI gets solid winger and a top PMD prospect and Colorado gets 2 struggling young forwards with skill that could help out offensively if either could find their game in Colorado. Maybe Okposo could get going if paired with a center like Stastny.

Like the deal as an Av fan but don't think Islander fans will like it

Switch them with Quincey and Wilson.

Maybe Okposo, Bailey, Streit for

Stastny, Quincey, Wilson.

Or am I think to big?

Think too big IMO.

Quincey might be moved for Okoso and Bailey but Satstny is worth more then that.
And I wouldn't want to move Wilson.

I like the fact that there have been only 3 non-Av fans in here so far

But to RH63 has Williams been having an off year or something? He seemed good last year, why would you guys trade him?

This would be an absolutly horrible trade for the Avs. Not one player in that trade from the Isles is better then there respective counter at least in terms of value.

Stas>>>>Okposo
Wilson>>Bailey
Quincey>Streit

This isnt even close to fair value, not even close.

One of those top 10 picks has serious concussion issues and the other isn't playing up to the expectations.

Not saying that the Isles would do the deal, but I doubt Avs would either, considering what type of a player Barrie is.

There is no question that Streit is A LOT better than Quincey, and any Avs fan saying otherwise is crazy. But at the end of day, management may feel that Quincey has more value to the franchise than Streit would. Avs aren't ready to compete for a cup and Quincey is able to grow with the core. Streit is nearing the end of his prime, and will likely be on the downside by the time that the Avs are truly a cup contender. Streit isn't a player that is the final missing piece to our team in order to compete, and the age difference may be a little bit large before the Avs get the opportunity to see who they can bring in through Free Agency.

Why must you bring logic into a perfectly illogical argument? Disappointing.

-FAN BIAS ASIDE-

I disagree, this isn't a horrible trade for either side. Streit is the best player in the deal, and by saying that Quincey is better than him you sir are letting your Av's jersey show.

Okposo: 8 goals, 9 assists in 35 games for the worst offensive team in the league.
Stastny: 11 goals 11 assists in 39 games on a half-decent offensive team, plus he costs like 7.5 million?

Bailey and Wilson are pretty even in value, if Bailey had a chance to get out from that mess in long island he might evolve into a solid #2 center.

Quicey > Streit ? ... just no.

This deal wouldn't happen, but if anything it's close.

Please do some homework on players.

Okposo played like crap his 1st 15 games. He was benched for 3 straight games and embarrassed. He's turned his season around.Once again going to the dirty areas of the ice.

First 15 games:0 g,3 a
Last 19 games:8 g,6 a

Isles rewarded KO's strong play 3 games ago. They promoted him from the 2nd line to Tavares line. They look good together.KO does not need a change of scenery and won't be moved for spare parts. No interest in movingBailey for spare parts either.
