The Oilers don't play until Wednesday. 2 players will be called up before then.

Thank god. Green was -6 and held pointless. He has no business being on the team.

Green doesn't exactly need seasoning.

I suspect the Oilers are going to be making some moves in the not too distant future. They are short 4 forwards, Hemsky's on the block...something's up.

Paajarvi will be getting called back up though. That's a given. He takes a spot on a top line...finally.

Seasoning no, but despite OKC's depth up front both those players make the team better and cost the big club less money against the cap.

I really doubt 9 games in the AHL is all Paajarvi needs, his 1 goal certainly doesnt prove much.

He has been close to a point a game. You're bang on for the reasoning. Makes perfect sense.

I would suspect we'll see Hartikainen back with the Oil, but I wonder if Cornett gets a call as a reward for a solid season and making the all-star team.

I think Omark is injured.

I'll guess Keller and either Cornet or O'Marra get the call. Too early for PRV.

I'm happy Hartikainen got sent back down. I want to see him playing more minutes. Waste of time playing in the NHL right now.

Cornet = too slow for the NHL
Keller = injured. My first choice for call-up. He's a small shifty forward in the mold of Omark.

I'd consider calling up O'Marra if we needed a bottom-6er... as O'Marra plays the 1st PK unit and takes important draws. Brule would be okay too.

If we call up Pitlick or MPS then I know we're throwing the season.

Seriously scratching my head at this post. Omark got sloughfooted and broke his foot like 2 months ago. Cast doesn't even come off for another week. After that, who knows about rehab time, probably 3-4 weeks, if he's lucky. No one has been talking about the guy, and even if they were, what would that be distracting us from? You'd think at this point of the season, we'd be happy for whatever distraction we could get. Again, bizarre post. Nice to be reminded of how some people have an inexplicable obsession with hating/loving that particular player, though, I guess.

Just curious, where do you guys think Cornet fits in for the future? I remember he almost made the World Junior team a couple of years ago.

I really don't want to see Paajarvi back up yet. Now might be a good time to give Brule the call. Paajarvi is probably the best equipped to play an NHL game in the top 9. That said I don't think that he's ready for the call just yet.

We don't play til Wednesday, their might be a chance that they just want them to go play in the game in Hamilton tomorrow then come back to the team on Monday or Tuesday. I have a feeling this also means that they don't think the Eberle injury is that bad.

Someone would put a claim on Brule. Probably Calgary.

Does it really matter at this point? Does anyone see him in our long term future unless he came in and played up to his pre-draft potential in the NHL?

I also think O'Marra and Brule would be good call-ups for the bottom six at the moment, Brule cam skate and O'Marra wins face-offs.

I agree with petrell and omarra being the likeliest callups. Paajarvi should finish the season in OKC. Brule would get claimed on re-entry waivers. Keller and Omark still injured. Cornet isn't going to be any better than green and that didn't work out at all.
