He wasn't the biggest problem, but, as always, he was a problem. He let up an awful goal to give the Senators the tie, and the game was over at that point.

I, and others, have said in October and November, expect games like this.
That's good point right there too. As fans, we forget that we dress 4-5 rookies every night to play important minutes.

The other "problems" don't have a contract the size of Uganda's GDP.

Not a criticism of the team/organization per se, just pointing out that took many people took the kool-aid again. People want to question the coach in a year where we punted in June.
Look the moves we made were not very consistent. We took two steps backwards and we took two steps forward.

Yes many were concerned with where the scoring was going to come from after losing 4 top 6 forwards. Then we sign bryz and Jagr which were clearly win now moves. Obviously scoring is not an issue this year so in reality we are the same team last year minus pronger...a player we didnt have last year. So basically we are last years team with a better goalie. So I dont buy that excuse.

It looked like he was cheating over on that play. Bad luck, though, for sure.

Outside of Bourdon (who at least contributed with a goal despite his brain lapse in the 3rd) you can't blame the rookies on this one, come on now. Couturier was a beast tonight, as was unreal on the draws, and Read played great too.

This came down to our Terrible D, and typical un-clutch Bryzgalov

read my name, they both stink equally

i made my name bryzgalovsky before the season started because i knew there would be a constant debate over who to start since they both suck so horribly in key situations

Well that was a s***ty game!! But I will try and keep an eye on the big picture. Before the season started, if I had known that at the 40 game mark, we would be on pace for 104 points, with Pronger only playing 13 games, Schenn missing 30 games, JVR not having a breakout year and Bryz playing like garbage...I would have been shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's not direct our anger at other posters please.

Direct it where it belongs: Jody Shelley.

Did some of you even watch this game? Bryz played great aside from one goal.
It really is negadelphia all the time.
You want to blame someone for not showing up today, blame giroux, jagr, and carle. Bryz kept this team in it today.

Kuba has been really good for the Sens this season I believe. He played, what? 30 minutes or so against us yesterday. You don't do that midway into the season unless you've been really good.

What goal are you talking about here?

Bryzgalov didn't have that great a game I think. There were quite a few rebounds he didn't have control over, but I believe you're right. I haven't seen the goals after the game, but this is how I remember them:

On the first Sens goal: Read got stripped of the puck very easily in the neutral zone, Couturier(!) makes a bad defensive play on Turris, Coburn overreacts to the danger Turris presents and leaves Alfredsson completely free right in front of the net, all while Carle does I don't know what but definitely not playing a sound positional game. And Alfredsson needs to have a Sweden jersey on him to miss an opportunity like that.
On the second Sens goal: Carle, Bourdon, Brière and two more Flyers (forget who) stand beside and watch while the Sens push and shove and kick at Bryzgalov until the puck squeezes over the line.
On the third Sens goal: beautifully redirected into the net by Carle
On the fourth Sens goal: that one Bryz wants back, for sure, even if it was a 3-1 situation
On the fifth Sens goal: screened by plenty of folks, and the puck might have hit Hartnell on it's way to the net as well. Still, I think Bryzgalov would like that one back as well.

Yeah, these games will happen unfortunately. The second period was decent, but overall this was a really crappy game. We can't make this many mistakes and give the puck away left and right and expect to get away with it.

Carle had a really, really rough game. Giroux must have the flu or something, I said yesterday that he had raised the level of his worst performances but this was a bad game for him.

Next game I want to see Gustafsson instead of Lilja, and I hope we can get a dman added to the team soon as well.

maybe people should start paying me for advice instead of hating on me
