Just came in to say your commentators are great, the best non Ducks commentators I've heard so far, it's refreshing to listen to neutral, non-homer commentators.

Good luck for the rest of the season fellas

Nope - he sucks from the get-go.

Have never listened to the Ducks announcers, but watched the Kings game via their feed - announcers had insight, explained the game's nuances/strategies, and were generally unbiased (actually laughed at themselves at one point for their original bias in one particular situation, revisiting upon replay.)

There are plenty of tandems that are high-quality - I don't really even care if you're a homer, if you get the call right and can describe the action on the ice. The Jackets' TV and radio teams are both sub-par (although I'm inclined to give a pass to McElligott for having to work with George).

Did you miss the part when Rimer was talking about one of your players dropping the stick so that the officials would notice it was shattered in a million pieces? I was like, Uhh Rimer - He has to drop the stick otherwise it's a penalty. What kind of observation was that on his part? They still struggle to come up with the real reason(s) one of the teams has taken a timeout. The whole concept about resting the players after an icing is mostly lost on them.

You also haven't listened him enough to realize he has about 10 things he says and it's pretty much just a repeat of those 10 things. After the 372,234,123 time he's said "And both teams change on the fly" you want to throw a rack through the TV.

Rimer is also a massive homer not to mention one of the more accomplished name droppers in the league. It's hard to be a homer when you are down 4-1 by the end of the first period.

That interview with your shiny new Head Coach was brutal in a couple of parts, when he was trying to figure out what to say.

I now it's easy to feel refreshed with a new voice, but listen to him for about 40 games and see what your impression is.

Well I'll take your word for it, but I thought they called a very good game last night. But maybe that was a 1 off

While I would like to immediately agree, I do remember it took a bit before I really started to dislike Rimer. The first few games were fine until I started to notice how he said the same things over and over. The name dropping was really what sealed it. The creepy way in which he slobbers over high profile guests is unsettling.

The first paragraph should have made you pause. I think you were just tired of your own guys and it was refreshing to listen to a new voice. Understandable.

I will say that Bill D was not as annoying to me, last night, as he normally is.

Finally a little breathing room on the ducks.

First time all season I think one of our guys won a fight, and we won 2!

Looks like there may be discipline for 2 Ducks after last night's game.

Surprised Kubalik didn't get an invite from the boarding on Perry, it didn't cause an injury, but was flagrant.

Anaheim's Jean-Francois Jacques has been suspended three games for elbowing #CBJ forward RJ Umberger in the head.

A joke! and Wiz gets 12.... Not saying Wiz shouldn't have served time but my god that's terribly inconsistent.

Another joke of a suspension. A hit like that should be at least 5 games no matter the players history.

Wiz got 8, preseason doesn't count. Let's not exaggerate it. Shanny is a moron and he's determined to not give anyone over 7. Wiz was his poster child for abuse.

If you watched the game, you saw the incident where Dorse, Boll and DMac were in the box and some fans got escorted out. Here is one fans explanation.

It's building security's call. Wouldn't surprise my that Dorse or Boll said something akin to what's being attributed to them. I'm betting the guy's letting his family off light in this account.

I'm sure you're right. Seems that the first reaction came from building security, so they clearly were alert to the situation. No doubt Boll and Dorsett were plenty agitated and profane, too. I really don't understand why fans think they can say whatever they want to players without a reaction and, by the same token, players should know that they can't win by responding to them. Big fuss over nothing.
