Although, I'd have to say, I'd find much more solace in this loss had the compete level been there.
I'd be more upset if they did try and lost

I blame Luongo.

Not for his play, but because he tempted the team with pizza from his father-in-law's place. Damn him.

He's just happy he doesn't have to go coach in the All Star Game which is what would've happened if they won.

Once we finish this road trip, we'll have a 6 game homestand, in which it is spread out over a 19 days. We'll finally get some rest, play at home, have last change, and things should be fine.

It's just time to go home and have a break.
This. Canucks have had one of the most grueling schedules this year, especially on the road.

You'll see Boston and New York start coming back to earth a bit once things get a little tighter with games played more frequently.

If we did try and lost, the topics would be surrounding bad bounces likely. Something you can't control.

Oh well. I'm not sure how a lot of you can be so calm losing points where the games were winnable is all. If everyone is cool with it, I'll be cool and sit in my corner till tomorrow's game hoping for something better.

The Canucks will have 16 road games left after this trip. They'll be fine. 7-2-1 I'm last 10 and people are upset

Perhaps because I'd expected it. Not sure but I'd say the bounces tonight were pretty bad too.

I don't think this loss will come back to bite the Canucks in any way but I am with you in that I don't appreciate when the Canucks give away easy points. Again, not a knock on Florida, I just wasn't convinced at all that the Canucks couldn't have secured a win today, even without a full effort. They were just very nonchalant and Florida ended up hanging on to win. 'Nuff said.

Again, no one has answered this question I asked: if we lose to teams we're supposed to win against all the time, and we're supposed to win against contenders or playoffs teams (which Florida is), who are we supposed to lose to?

Canucks haven't lost more than 2 in a row in regulation this year guys. Have some perspective. Chicago's on a 4 game slide right now, they got shut out at home by Colorado.

We're not going to go 82-0 in a season. We lose against Chicago and everyone gets scared that they're going to school us in the post season. We lose against Florida and suddenly the team is lazy.

Sure, we won't go 82-0, but is 78-3-1 really that unreasonable?

It's not the loss itself. Wins and losses be damned. We got our Presidents' Trophy and everything already. I think it's just the awful way in which the Canucks lose some of their games that annoys fans. Nobody except maybe serge2k is visibly upset. Just airing our thoughts.

Oh I know, airing your thoughts is fine. Just some posters get all upset about it. If we win against Tampa tomorrow, we go .666 on the road again. That's damn good.

Typical Canucks fan, accepting mediocrity. Pfft.
