I really wish there was more coverage on Swedish junior hockey in general, atm there's nowhere to watch the games and little to no info about injuries to players etc. Really is a big hassle to follow u20 hockey. I guess we should be thankful they even broadcast the WJC...
Rakell was initially on the camp roster, either he's injured or given permission to focus on the NHL camps. E.Lindholm has some injury and couldn't go.
Where is Rakell, Sorensen, Blomstrand and Schumacher? And why did Elias Lindholm get cut? He is way better then Wennerberg/Nermark/Arvidsson/Sundqvist.
Sörensen is already in Quebec i believe. Blomstrand and schumacher were not invited. Lindholm is out with a minor injury.
Swe games vs USA & FIN can be seen here: www.fasthockey.com (you need to buy game credits to watch games)
Klefbom is going to be so important for this team. He was the best skater this game along with Åberg. Rask and Forsberg were also pretty good and the D looked solid. Not a great game overall, the forwards need to use their linemates much better instead of just firing it on goal all the time, especially 5 on 3.
30 games in a row without a regulation loss if i'm not mistaken, not bad.
Joel Lassinantti, Luleå/Almtuna

Ludvig Byström, Modo
Alexander Wennberg, Djurgården
Gustav Björklund, Södertälje
Sebastian Collberg, Frölunda
Johan Johnsson, HV71
Erik Karlsson, Frölunda
David Lillieström Karlsson, AIK
Erik Nyström, Modo
Elias Lindholm, Brynäs
Gustav Possler, Modo
Filip Sandberg, HV71
Daniel Zaar, Rögle
Oskar Sundqvist, Skellefteå
Emil Molin, Brynäs
Way to early to predict what the actual lines and such will look like but Joe89, i think, pretty much got it nailed down.
I'd like some of our younger players to make it but that's most likely not going to happen since these kinds of tournaments is often decided by the maturity of the players.
As i said, way to early, but this is the team i'd like to see, assuming Zibanejad and Brodin are not available and my predictions for the different prospect are somewhat accurate;

Seems like we have weath of forwards ona good level this year, besides the usual suspects, there is quite a few 93´s that have a chance to play some in SEL and allsvenskan this year.
Thinking about guys like:
Max Görtz (Färjestad)
Cristopher Fish (Linköping)
Jacob Lilja (rögle)
Kristoffer Wikner (Frölunda)
Emil Molin (brynäs)
Anton Wedin, Daniel Öhrn (Timrå)
Linus Fröberg (Färjestad)
and so on...
We might get a surprise breaktrough
Max Görtz is the one that has been the most prominent in the preseason so far.
The one I realy wish success is Viktor Arvidsson, Skellefteå, but he got so many forwards to beat out for a spot in Skellefteå. Probably wont get to play much in SEL, which will hurt his chances.
He has apparently been playing really well in the pre-season and at the Hlinka. I could see him making the final team but the competition for a bottom six role this year might be greater than ever.

Arvidsson has impressed a lot during preseason and is fourth in points on the team. I think everyone agrees that he should have a spot come season premiere. Skellefteå will start the season without Ericsson, Bellemare and Vesce so there's plenty of time to impress us even more.

Rönnberg doesn't mind taking a young player if he's good enough at least. But yeah, many good players and few spots. I mean, we sent 13 new forwards to this tournament and it's still an extremely good group of guys. Only Collberg is a lock for the WJC on that squad, and E.Lindholm is the only other forward I'd label as likely. Nice to see Lindholm listed as 1.84m & 87kg now btw, I thought he was still underdeveloped physically á Järnkrok.
I was very impressed by Brynäs Alexander Lindgren in todays game against Djurgården. Smart and hard working. I do realize his chances to take a spot in the WJC roster are slim to non-existing, but he'd be perfect in a checking-line.
I'm impressed they managed to win all the games with a completely new team. They blew the lead late in both overtime wins though, so there's something to learn from.
You have to think Djoos will be on the November tournament team now, I though we lacked a guy like him in Lake Placid.
