Probably want to keep him sharp for Pitt on Wednesday. I bet Neuvy doesn't get the net until Sunday/'Canes.

Should have just left Green out til playoff time, seeing as how we were turning the corner without him. I think that this happening may make us realistically think about his long term value to the team. having him for 25-40 games a season for what we pay him, is not worth it.
Nicky being out for more than a couple weeks may finally force gmgm to make a move for a legit play making center. It sucks that he is injured, but it may prove to be beneficial for the roster in the long run.

Hunter said Backstrom, Green sent home early so they don't have to deal with all-night flight. "We're being cautious with both of them."

I'd like to see MJ90 between Ovie and Brouwer. Laich's got the cycle and forecheck, but he can't make a good pass.

Yep. Ovi's gonna try to have to do everything by himself and thats not going to go well.

Neuvy should get the start here. Vokoun played well against SJ and has been on a hot streak, but when it's the other guy's time, it's his time.

I'm wagering this is Hunter seeing if Vokoun can steal a game when his team is down manpower on the road. Letting him see if he can solidify himself as the #1.

I sure hope Backstom plays next game...talk about overkill in the NHL these days with headshots.

I'm torn. National Championship game will not be over by the time the Caps start, and it will probably be a 3-3 score to boot. Will have to flip back and forth I guess.

JUST ****ING WIN!!!

seriously? green, AGAIN? ****ing joke...

sad about backs.

different game to SJ. kings cant score much, but they can put a clown suit on teams' offenses, and im not sure i can see the 19less caps doing much on them at all.

really its not again. this was an attempt to play with the injury, not a new or reinjury as best i can tell.

Its not a reinjury but it sounds bad. Alan May said on the radio that Green is really concerned about it.

Personally I would like to see Semin and Ovi on the same line, so at least we have 1 line that can score.

it is bad. all the talk of it after his trip to the specialist indicated it was permanant damage.

i'd hate to think he is done, but there's no ignoring that its possible. i have no expectation of him playing again. if he does, its a bonus.
