24/7 Flyers-Rangers Soundtrack

Was looking for some tracks from the 24/7 series and came across a great sountrack listing off a Flyers blog. Wanted to share this with you guys since I'm sure others were trying to track down some songs too.
Big credit to HBO, as great as 24/7 already is, the music they select makes that much better, it fit the story they were telling perfectly and it brings everything together.

My favorite track by far......this song and band have become pretty popular since being in the show. I'm sure many will remember it. Give a listen and enjoy!

Midnight City - M83 (from episode 2)

This thread makes me feel like such a hipster. Saw M83 a few years ago and had midnight city on my playlist back in the summer . However, the only thing I love more than women and hockey is music.

Ya M83 is a pretty good band. Check out their repertoire if you like that song.

That's hilarious! But I prefer to not have a song that I'm really into and listening to all the time being butchered like that. Good for him though to have some fun with it.

M83 is pretty damn good, remind me a bit of MGMT when I first heard them. They got a bit of an underground feel. Gotta love when you get hooked on one song from hearing it in a specific place and that leads you to other solid material.

I took down a list of all the songs I liked from 24/7 and I reached 12 which is pretty impressive. Pretty much like 3 or 4 an episode.

The Flyers victory song by Mac Miller is also very catchy and a fun track.
Pressure and Time by Rival Sons is a great rock tune
Moneygrabber by Fitz and the Tantrums was a big song for the series....give that a listen too.

The lonely boy video you linked to on that broad street hockey page is priceless. Good song too

No offense here, but how is that kind of unrelated? It had absolutely nothing to do with anything. In fact, you didn't even describe what you were posting. What was that?

It should be appreciated for it's comedic affect, it should in now way be taking any attention away from the real song which is amazing!

It doesn't, I can appreciate both at the same time. That guy still deserves a ton of views on that video, he's really funny.

Oh absolutely, I was laughing very hard at the video the first time I saw it, than it gets a bit annoying. But always good to see someone having fun with something like that and poking fun at themself.

Kim and Jessie is still the best M83 song imo. Saw them a few years back open up for the Killers. Glad to see them getting some recognition.

OT thread about music? Is the correlation really that difficult to grasp?

It was OT enough when it was a thread about the HBO series, was trying to keep the talk about the songs from the series that everyone enjoyed....not go off in some other direction of a small unrecognized band.....just saying....

Well Its becoming clear that we're not going to have a good discussion about music here.

fyi, Gotye is a massive up and commer who has a top 10 song on iTunes and Walk of the Earth (the band who covers that song) just had over 10 million views on their video over 4 days (do you think the HBO series even got a quarter of that?)... they were featured on CBC's the National. Unrecognized indeed.
