Big Story: Halak will return to Montreal, where he helped the Canadiens to an unlikely Eastern Conference finals berth in 2009, for the first time Tuesday night. Part of a two-headed monster in St. Louis, Halak will get the start Tuesday over Brian Elliott, despite the latter's shutting out Colorado, 4-0, on Saturday.

"This is once-in-a-lifetime," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "Ideal situation, you want to support the shutout, but I mean, come on. First time going back. In fairness to Jaroslav, he had a heck of a time there, and I think it would be dismissive of me to not recognize that."

Halak speaks about 1st time returning to Montreal since the St.Louis trade.

For a change the Blues have the better record. However, they're not that much better than the Habs. I'd say it'll be an even match.

FFS! stop with this ''thanks Jaro'' crap, sounds so emo and he didn't do ****! it was all Cammalleri, Gionta and Martins system. Last time I checked we got eliminated with him 4-1 in games.

A goalie can change the course of a series with just one game. Halak did that in round one when he turned an offensive powerhouse team into a bunch of individuals trying to win the game by themselves and continuously running into a brick wall.

I thank you Halak for the great run in 2010. With that said, I wish you no luck tomorrow and hope Eller scores five times on you. Go Habs Go!

We won the Halak trade.

Halak's stats we're sexed up by the JM system... Eller already looks real good right now. Plus who knows how much his offensive output will improve without the shackles on.

I was more a less stealing the "Thank you Kessel" from BOS-TOR...Instead of Seguin, we have Eller... Instead of Kessel, they have Halak.

And that's not what 'emo' means.

We HAVE to win at least one of our next 2 games.

By game 45: we have to play for .500 (+0)
Game 50: +2
Game 55: +4
Game 60: +6
Game 65: +8
Game 70: +10
Game 75: +12
Game 80: +14
Game 82: +15

We finish the season with 97 pts.

Classy move by Hitchcock to give Halak the start. Can't say every coach would have been very accommodating with the way Elliot has been playing. Halak deserves a standing ovation for his play in Montreal. Unfortunately, a bunch of whiny fans will boo him for being traded.

If we were nicely in 5th place in the Conference, I'd be all for a goaltender's duel, but seeing as we must win every god damn game, Eller scoring would be awesome, but JUST F'IN WIN!!!!!!

I guess that monkey on Patches back was warding off the flu. dammit. We need him now that he's been useful for 2 periods. Gomez isn't 100% so it'll likely be more frustrating or Nokes will draw in and the lines will look strange (personally I'm a big fan of Nokia, but reshuffling people will not look good).

I would actually call up Palushaj for this game. Seems fitting if Max can't play and given the opponent.

plz win. Habs 2012!

whatever. He can't speak French.

The same number that will boo him (which actually I don't think will be that many given the circumstances of his departure) will be booing Price or rather chanting the opposing goaltender's name. Yes, we have a couple of idiots, it's true.

Hopefully we get some great Carey chants and some reasons to do so and no Halak derision (again, I highly doubt any fans habour ill-will towards him). I'm a Price fanboy all the way, but I love the Habs and Halak gave a lot to us and I'll always thank him for it.
