He's our top scorer. He can fall as much as he wants.

OK, but he's still not a game breaker IMO. Solid player but not a game breaker. They get a gamebreaker, that 2nd line looks much better.

Was on and off the TV but didn't I see Diaz sliding prior to the hit? To me, looked like a "head changing position" type of ruling.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to that. If he's having a bad game, the little girl remarks come out just because he called himself that a few years ago. Comparisons to Gomez are laughable.

I was impressed and really annoyed at how tirelessly the blues player were willing to skate every damn puck faster than the habs.

There was no domination though, as the blues player weren't much smarter than the habs with the puck. That what actually made that period kinda boring.

Yes and if Diaz would of been injured probably suspension worthy.

Plekanec and Cammalleri don't fit together...actually, Plekanec looks even better with Blunden and Darche cuz they play a more North-South game than Cammy.
Pleks needs a trigger-man. He's a great playmaker, which logically should make Cammalleri the perfect linemate to smack his passes home. Pleks could help Blunden or Darche more than they could help him. Cole or Pacioretty would also complement Plekanec's style with some needed power, but that would mean putting DD elsewhere.

I really can't see DD as a long term top 9 center. It's games like this against quicker and bigger teams that makes this even more apparent.

I don't think it's only about speed. It's not hard to notice that many habs players are scared to be first on the puck. Especially along the boards.

Can't wait for the next person to write the Habs are "Markov away" from being a top team.

I don't think Plekanec is a GREAT playmaker, I think he's GOOD, but not GREAT. That's not a knock on him, but I think he's no really creative, but effective. He's pretty good at protecting the puck behind the net and dishing out passes from there. Plekanec needs a guy like Cole who crashes the net all the time, Cammy is not that guy. Cammy needs a guy like Eller.

So having at least one poster in every GDT is classified as everyone now?
