Niittymaki frustrated

http://www.csnbayarea.com/blog/shark...44&feedID=2798

I like Niittymaki but I'm sorry, as far as I'm concerned this is music to my ears. If he's frustrated about not getting any ice time than maybe he might want to be traded to a team where he's needed and this will give DW more incentive to trade him and maybe Braun or another d-man we don't need for a 3rd liner. I think its pretty clear to me that Greiss is the man we want backing up Nemo, so I see no reason why DW shouldn't pull the trigger on a deal sending Niitty and MAYBE Braun or another d-man we don't need away for a 3rd liner. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that we don't have a defenseman that we don't need. We need all eight of them for the playoffs. Period. That is more important than having that forward upgrade. Niittymaki, yeah we can move him as he's unnecessary. But moving Braun or any other d-man for a tweener is a mistake.

Niemi, Mitchell, Worchester Prospect for whatever the hell you can get.

Use whateverthehell to fill Mitchell's spot.

Do it...Do it.

Hopefully TMac gets Nitty into a game soon to showcase him. Perhaps Winnipeg or Columbus

Please, do not trade Braun, Demers, or Vlasic for a 3rd liner. That is a very bad idea.

Okay, maybe not Braun but Petrecki or Irwin going is fine by me.

A classic and yet under-appreciated joke. Bravo, good sir.

Get him away from the team. He's the 3rd best goaltender with the team and they don't need any negativity in the locker room. Put him on waivers, package him, dump him, whatever. Just get rid of him.

I would love for Nitty to start against Winnipeg (1/12); Greiss against Columbus (1/14); and Niemi back against Chicago (1/15).

Then keep going til Vancouver game (1/21). And have Nitty and Greiss split games against Edmonton and Calgary (1/23-24). Niemi will get 10 days off.

I don't think Nitty should be traded because he won't fetch anything worthy. He is a good goaltender, better than Greiss. Just make him work for his $2 million, and Greiss will take over next year.

I don't think he is better than Greiss at this point.

If Niittymaki is better, why didn't he start on Thursday instead of Greiss?

Still don't think it's a good idea to gut the youngin's out of our Blue line for Clutterbuck

If it meant a much better chance at a cup, I'll take it. But yeah, I like both of our young D. It would take more than either to land Clutterbuck, probably significantly more.

If he gets to the point where he's disrupting team chemistry, then get his ass out of here to whoever will give us the most.

Or, just play him some. We have the roster and cap space, and I'd rather have Niitty than Greiss in the playoffs.

He should be frustrated at himself. Doesnt he realize that hes injury prone and not that good to begin with?

This. Shut your popcorn hole glass man.

You know this is the second time he's *****ed about not getting ice time. If there's once thing I hate more than McLellan never playing his very competent backups, it's a player whining about circumstances they brought about.
