The first goal might have been a little soft, but he was preetty solid after that

He's bad. He isn't worth a million dollars let alone 2.3.

He wasn't bad but he wasn't good either, though he makes too much money to suck this much day in and day out.

Millers quote should be "It's tough to win a game when you score no goals."

What exactly is he bad at that he is paid to do?

Faceoffs? No
Physical play? No
Defensive play? No
Pking? No
Offense? Yes, for this year.

Feel free to enlighten me as to what he isn't doing that makes him so bad.

He had plenty of openings to rush the puck and get us on the scoreboard. Did he take them? No because he sucks.

So is it acceptable to you IF Enroth really sucked day in day out, Because he makes way less money?

So you were alright with Lalime sucking because afterall he made way less money.

Interesting view

Yes it's more acceptable that someone that makes 1/5 of the amount of money to be a crappier player. Its called expectations which also can be measured in salary.

You don't see Lalime being paid 6million and Miller is playing exactly like Lalime did when he was here.

Everyone cries about Stafford, Boyes, Roy and a few others for good reason, its because they make more money and have higher expectations than a Ellis or Kaleta who make peanuts in comparison....Even though those higher paid players are better than them even on a really bad night.

0-2 at the past two Leafs/Sabres games at the ACC. Not sure if I'll go again in April or whenever the next game is.

G:
- Miller was really good. Probably wants that Grabovski goal back, but he absolutely played well enough for us to win.
- Guess since I don't really have any more positives from the Sabres side, I'l give Gustavsson some props. He was solid.
- I had a pretty solid view and it didn't completely bankrupt me. Paid about 125 bucks each:

Usually pay around the same thing for the first row in 306/320 at FNC, so not bad.

B:
- This ****ing (Excuse my French) couple beside me. Probably around 23/24, one had a Leafs jersey, the other had a Sabres Connolly jersey but it was one of those awful looking fakes where the silver parts are barely visible. They were completely obnoxious the entire game, and really just completely ruined it for me. I don't mind if you're screaming about the game occassionally, but they talked as loud as humanly possible about anything but the game at hand. When they did chime in about the game, it was "HIT SOMEBODY!!!!!!!!!" or "MILLER, EAST LANSING MICHIGAN IS A DUMP!!!" Wanted to strangle both of them.
- McNabb seemed to make a lot of bad turnovers by forcing passes.
- I don't know what the actual 'scoring chances' category says, but it felt like we literally had no good scoring chances despite 32 shots.

U:
- The afforementioned annoying Sabres fan also happened to be pretty ugly.
- Some of the jerseys Leafs fans have. I know some people can't afford to get new ones, but you really just look like a moron wearing jerseys like Mogilny, Lindros, Belfour, Leetch, Blake, etc. Just wear blue.

The guy stopped 26 of 28 shots. So people would only be happy with his play if he stopped 27 or 28 of 28 shots? The level of criticism on goalies here is ridiculous. Has Miller been good this year? No, but he is far from the problem. Every single time the guy makes a mistake the puck is in the back of the net, if only other players were judged by the same measure. Perfection should not be an expectation of goaltenders and that is what it's become. Miller has not been good this year but the defensive play in front of him has been some of the most atrocious defensive play I've seen as a fan of this team.

So if you see a Sabres fan wearing a LaFontaine or a Hasek jersey, you'll say that they look like a moron then, right?

Hasek and Lafontaine were top notch players for the organization.

However, I have seen Doozys at the FNC thru the years

Definitely gotta disagree.

Those are the best jerseys. Its easy to go out and grab the "Flavor of the month" jersey. You just blend into the crowd.

Gotta love those people that still rep jerseys with some miles on them from seasons gone by.

It's a lot easier for Leafs fans to keep with the old stuff without looking too outdated/ Definitely makes it a lot easier when compared to teams like ours who have worn about 10 totally different jerseys since 2006

Only issues I personally have with jerseys are the terrible looking fakes and the own name jerseys.

Miller didn't play as well as his stats imply, but you can't argue with the result. His strongest effort in a while and they get shut out . Way to help his confidence, everyone but Leino.

Feels weird losing to the Leafs after years of dominating them.

Faceoffs? Loses every single clutch one he needs to win seemingly.

Physical play? Right..? Guy pretty much never fights or hits unless he is absolutely forced to (Lucic after he pretty much was embarrassed).

Pking? Okay he's decent he seems too slow at times and gets caught out of position.

And offense? You can't be serious, perhaps by the leagues current standard and Terry Pegula's standard of overpaying bad coaches and players Guastad deserves 2.3 million but let's face facts he should be making a million tops for what he does. He's a nice forth line center nothing more. The next extension they will announce is Paul Gaustad at 3 years 12 million. Why not?

Gerbe plays more physical than Goose. And he's average at best defensively. I can find 8-10 4th to 3rd line tweener centers with lower cap hits that are better than Gaustad.

Same here -

I didn't care when I had lost the stream. The sabres are so boring to watch at the moment. This is a feeling I've never had before;

There is just nothing special or exciting or entertaining there.

And it won't get better soon. We won't see new players or a major change. This is what I read out of that ridiclous seven year contract for Ruff.

.....

I think I won't watch the next game. I'm sick of seeing a "no show" with no goals for us......

I welcome you all to come watch the Rangers with me...

As a true New Yorker I think I'm allowed to do that =P

Seriously, the Rangers game was pretty damn fun tonight despite it being a 2-1 SO win that could have easily been a loss. They're just fun to watch every game. I chose to watch that over the Sabres and I'm damn glad I did.

I've put my fave team on time-out until they're worth watching, and I'm gonna check out my home team in the mean time. Come join me!

Good - Leino with a great game tonight, no help from his line mates
- Gerbe with a solid game
- didn't notice Gragnani
- Miller. The first goal was astrange case as it deflected funny off of Kaleta's stick, the second a great move by a guy left wide open in the crease while three sabres covered a single guy who didn't have the puck.
-Myers and McNabb pairing. Saw flashes of great hockey.

Bad- Shutout
-Lost to a team that looked tired and disinterested.

Ugly-Leafs got away with murder...officiating was worse then usual
-Vanek in the locker room.puking his guts out
-Our center situation without Roy is really bad if they trade him it.better be for an upgrade.
-Some of the.posters in this thread. Miller and gaustad really caused us to lose this game. *****ing about leino who was our best forward tonight....seriously.people get a clue.
