We all see different things. No problem there.

The key to me is Lindy making the comment in Toronto. I doubt he says it in Florida.

Enough already with the excuses for Ruff.

The point is made. Lindy is embarrassed by his team and his job coaching them, and standing in a media and hockey capital, he tried to pull a fast one by suggesting this streak is some kind of fluke.

I'm just saying, not so fast.
Holy crap are you trying to blow this thing up from nothing.

The Sabres went through a bankruptcy era. The league went through the "dead-puck" era where scoring was down, in general, ACROSS THE LEAGUE. The point being, a 17 goals in 10 games stretch is a lot worse now than it was then.

He didn't imply anything besides the team having a hell of a hard time scoring right now. Nothing else.

He should imply his time at coach is up and quit. That's what he hould do. Stop making excuses.

So, the Sabres scoring woes aren't that bad?

What is the point of the OP?

I'm confused.

And if it's that Ruff overstated how bad things are right now and you are trying to pick on him for that....

What excuse is he making by saying that?

Seriously, I want Ruff fired too, but these agendas are getting ridiculous.

Leopold has 20 goals now through about 110 games with the Sabres. He also is a +0 on a team that has a lot of -'s through the first half. I've liked his contributions thus far as a Sabre

If that's what you're really trying to do then someone needs to tell you that you're not capable of doing that, especially with seemingly purposeless nit-picking posts on a message board.

To the actual content of this thread as it were, what you're posting isn't actually much of a counter-argument as it doesn't prove that this isn't the toughest stretch in which pucks won't go in the net. For one, that's a rather subjective concept for which neither you nor Ruff have laid out a criteria upon which to render judgment. Secondly, it says "might be" right there in your title. Thirdly, at worst most people would assume that he is being hyperbolic rather than 'incorrect' if it were indeed to come down to that.

Yep, I'm aware. Holy cow, this board needs a decent hockey team to watch.
