Stadium Series Ticket Tech

I guess I need to start a thread with this.

Been looking around at tickets. They seem pricey (starting above 150?). I guess they said some were available at 58 bucks in ticket master but not right now.

I am going to guess that higher price = better view...

So does anyone have a plan for this?

Frankly, its a baseball stadium, so views are going to be poor and the fanbase is going to be mostly LA natives. Am i wrong in thinking just spend the $$ on great seats for a game at the pond?

How the heck are they going to fill a stadium with 150+ dollar tickets?

Should I anticipate more tickets released the week before the event or after christmas?

Anyone have any secret tech or plan for attending this that I am missing?

Thanks.

Well I got my tickets from FedEx yesterday. As someone who has been to Dodger Stadium more times than I can count, top of the park section will give you an excellent view and is in the lower price range (still expensive) as opposed to the reserve level. Dodger Stadium fits 56,000 people so there will be a lot of tickets to sell.

I think they are going to start to come down soon. I'm going to keep an eye out on ebay and craigslist personally. A lot of season ticket holders bought extra tickets as well as the ticket brokers seemed to have huge chunks to sell right away. I think they are starting to realize they might have priced out a lot of people, even the die hards.

If stubhub stiffs me, I'm going to burn down their headquarters.

I saw the thread and thought it was about me or something I did (wrong). My thought and plan is that you aren't going to tell your friends/kids/internet whoevers that you sat in $300 seats at the event. You just say that you were at the outdoor game. I found tickets as a season ticket holder that I thought were as close to fair as I would pay. I also think that better seats are a matter of perspective - At the Honda Center the 200's are considered better seats but I wouldn't give my 400's center ice seats away for ones in the 200's with no disrespect for anyone in the 200's. What is going to be funny is that no one's angle will be any good so no matter where you sit you will likely be watching the jumbo-trons anyways.

27th?

You mean in 26th? (NY)
No wonder if so. 2 games for on city is too much, imo.
But if you mean for LA-Ana, then oh well...

Shocker. They started too high and priced a lot of fans out. BTW why the hell is parking 200 bucks on some of these sites? Seriously?

As mentioned, prices were lowered for that one section of tickets, and a link is on the main NHL page. I wonder how long until a "hockey shouldn't be in California" comment?

Yeah, that'll get people running to the box office.

Wait till the price of tickets on stub hub comes spiraling down as people realize they were conned into thinking buying extra seats they didn't need would be like hitting the lotto.

I guess there are always the exceptions. I have a buddy who is a season seat holder who bought 12 tickets to the outdoor game with the intentions of only using 2 of them. Sold the other 10 within a couple days. The investment paid off for him.

I'm not afraid of ticket sales honestly; like those that simply want lower prices because they can't afford it right now, there are those that can but are frugal and want the best deal. My only fear is there being more Kings fans then Ducks fans giving us a bad rep. Then of course trying to leave there in one piece after the Kings lose...

If you get in and get out quickly it can work. The problem is there is a very limited market of people who can or will pay the price. Stubhub has about 4500 seats listed right now. Add in the ones the league hasn't sold and there's a lot of expensive tickets available. Those who really thought they had to go have already bought. Those left who would like to go just won't pay $200 or more. There will be a lot of people there. But look for plenty of empty seats if they actually show an aerial view during the game.

The Winter Classic tickets have really started dropping in price so I imagine the tickets for the Stadium Series will as well in the next few weeks.
