dave nonis has been approached twice by other teams. burke said no, nonis getting paid a different level by the leafs to stay in management compared to the other "assistant managers".

burke said the leafs could've made the playoffs last season if he wanted to, but would've cost youth

He thinks the team is a bit small up front and we lack playoff experience. He wants to improve the team and isnt afraid to break up the team during the deadline.

Burke: If I can make a deal tomorrow I would to make the team better. (OMGZZZ HE'S MAKING A TRADE TOMORROW!!!1!!!1)

edit: He's willing to trade the 1st rounder this year for the right guy that would make the team more dangerous.

Dave Nonis is the most underrated guy in the organization IMO.

I know, I love Dave Nonis, but it's just funny how Cowan is trying really hard to break Burke, but he won't budge.

Hes not
Looking for a veteran goalie
I think Mcown asked him
A tough question saying he thought "they'd get butts kicked in first round so what's the point" of going to the playoffs, Burke disagreed got sort of agitatedish

awesome interview so far!

so our 1st and 2nd are in play to bring us a top quality player if we can I like that!

if we have to use 1st and 2nd as the major pieces to get someone like getzlaf i'm all over that!

Burke hates trading on the trade deadline, so look
For trades
Pretty soon.
He even said "I like to
Do stuff in January, and I'm looking to improve the team"
Hint at a trade???

I would rather trade two of prospects and a roster player in a package then our picks..The draft is suppose to be deep so I heard.

Anaheim isnt taking draft picks as the main part of a trade. Firsts are like the third wheel.
