I think his numbers this year in the AHL may just be Slaney-esque.

Good question. In a normal AHL season he'd probably hit 45 pretty easily, but in a suped up AHL who knows. The competition will be better, but he should have a pretty strong team around him as well.

I think 30 would be a good bench mark for him. But he'll be in the NHL once the lockout ends.

Whitney came to camp in impressive shape, a good 10-12 lbs. heavier than he was in the playoffs last season.

Not impossible. 3 rookies Whitney's age did it last year (Lynch, Koltsov, Colaiacovo).

Anyway, I said 21-30.

The team's played like garbage in both of them, but he hasn't had a good start, really.

But, he could have had two goals against Flaherty the other night if Flaherty wasn't using his demon-stopPenguins-magic.

It has been a horrible start to the season for the Penguins. I don't think it changes anything. With the powerplay, I think Whitney will hit 30 points this year.

I hope you're kidding, he's been average at best, atleast in my eyes. No worries though, he's going to be a great one in the future.

Well he's at Zero right now, so not heckuva alot.

But my guess is he'll notch about 30-40 pts. He is the main guy on the pp besides Lupy and well he'll notch some pts.

I would go with 30-40 points. For those not seeing him play, this kid has a ton of skill. He makes passes through players (between legs, between the stick and body) which is the mark of a special player IMO. While he does make some poor plays on D and plays a little soft, his mistakes are correctable. I hope that the Pens bring him along correctly because this is the best D prospect that they've ever had.

31-40 sounds about right even with his and WBS's slow start.
