Well, I heard Mr. Young talk about them
Well, I heard ol' Neil put us down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A South Bay fan don't need him around anyhow
I lost all respect for him when he didn't throw his hat on the ice last season when Seto or someone got a hat trick.
He will be back in 5 to 10 years when the Jets move to Nevada or Oregon or back to Atlanta.

I remember that game. Dave Manson snapped Irbe's shutout bid with a 100 foot bomb late in the game. IIRC, Darren Turcotte absolutely killed his old team that game.

Further those Sharks fans visiting Winnipeg, here's a great piece on them from our very own Illegal Curve:

my responce to your musical battle, I RESPOND WITH PUNS

Well hopefully the jets wont find themselves HELPLESS against the sharks, but if enstrom and ladd become TRANSFORMER MAN and play better today we might have a chance.

There COMES A TIME when the jets need to play LIKE A HURRIKANE and that time is now.

speaking of Kane, he must use the crowds HEART OF GOLD and stop playing like a selfish OLD MAN. he thinks he has the WORLD ON A STRING but he needs to be MR SOUL and dig deep tonight

hopefully the jets will KEEP ON ROCKIN IN THE true north strong and FREE WORLD

all in jest, hope for a safe game no injuries entertaining hopefully

Ryane Clowe wearing a full cage for skate this morning. Will find out why later.

PollakOnSharks 9:40am via Web
Skate so optional this a.m. that #sjsharks Marleau in stands with parents, aunt/uncle who made drive. Clowe skating, but wearing face cage.

PollakOnSharks 9:42am via Web
Jets just announced Byfuglilen is their all-star, even tho he's sidelined now. No word yet from #sjsharks or NHL beyond that.

WiebeSunSports: Tanner Glass (eye) on ice with visor, no sign of Zach Bogosian (lower body) for #winnipegjets

WiebeSunSports: Looks like F Alex Burmistrov will be returning to the lineup as well, as Patrice Cormier did some extra conditioning skating after the skate

Wouldn't be surprised if Neil suddenly becomes a Sharks fan again when SJ is in the playoffs and the Jets aren't. Someday he'll pay for his crimes against hockey.

Wait, aren't we playing the Thrashers? I could swear that was the opponent tonight.

Hmmmm, looks like a RUMBLE. We gotta carve out a piece of our own here, cause, uh, we want to be in a-Ca-Na-Da, ok by me in a-Ca-Na-Da, health care for free in a-Ca-Na-Da, Sharks win 5-3 in a-Ca-Na-Da.

Goal Scorers - Chino (Pavelski) Bernardo (Thornton) Pepe (Clowe) Anita (Mitchell, burn) and Loco (Winchester) for the Jets Riff (Ladd) Action (Kane) and Baby John (Enstrom)

And, just spit-balling here, I'm gonna say TONIGHT that Dougie Murray is Maria and Wheeler is Tony, cause they're two mixed up crazy kids, crazy in love in a crazy mixed up world that doesn't accept em. So tragic, so, so beautiful.

I won't drive this into the ground anymore but two quick things, the dance fight in opening post - huh, if that's that generation's idea of a street fight I'm really starting to understand the whole losing in Vietnam thing. But, seriously, would any of us here NOT pay $20 to watch the Bloods and Crips slay each other on the streets of Compton with snap-infused ballet, I think it'd be amazing.

Jets fan coming in peace

A group of us from the HFboards Winnipeg chapter are meeting your fellow Sharks brothers Mike and Bryan (Airshark) at the Tavern United by the MTS centre pre-game at 4:30 for some bevi's and its only minus 18 F with the wind chill (one of the coldest days of the year so far)!!!! anyone care to hop a flight and join us for the festivities???? we'll save room for you!!

Warning: The Jets fans get on every teams goalie and pick a star player to boo as well and it’s all in fun (most fans are laughing and joking while they do it)......Joe T was interviewed yesterday and he says he is looking forward to getting booed (Joe was great in the interview very funny). When LA came to town our crowd picked Doughty and were all over him and apparently during the first intermission he was asking “why are they booing me”?

Anyways congrads on your record this year and continued good fortune we are a bit banged up right now so I hope we can make it a fun game to watch for you folks

Like any other ex-drama-geek I have most every song in WSS memorized. Maybe I'll re-write Dear Officer Krupke as a story of the sharks asking the refs for better officiating.

It was the Manitoba connection today in the Sharks room. We spoke with both Andrew Murray and Frazer McLaren. Audio from coach Todd McLellan as well.

fyi that's Ryane Clowe and not Logan Couture, at least I think. It's very quiet but it definitely sounds more like Clowe.

I look forward to all Sharks games, but I've been looking forward to this one ever since I saw the Jets home opener. Add to the fact that the Jets are one of the more surprising teams in the NHL this year, I'm thinking this is going to be a fun game. I'm assuming Niemi is playing, but I actually wouldn't mind if Griess was rewarded with another start after the start he had last week. If one of the goalies are going to get traded, might as well show them off or something.
