Teuvo Teräväinen, who else? There's a boxscore here if anyone is interested.

The offense for this US team really just hasn't come around this season at all. Combine that with mediocre goaltending and it's very hard to see them continuing the US streak of success at the U18 wjc's.

This whole season has been a massive disappointment for US hockey so I'm almost not surprised. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come.

The main problem for the US in this tournament so far has been the PK and taking to many penalties. They let 2 PP goals in vs the Czechs, 2 vs Sweden and 3 vs Finland, they will probably be a lot better once they fix their discipline and PK.

Given that they've had over a year and a half experience playing together, and gone to numerous international tournaments over that time, they shouldn't be having these kinds of issues. It's hard to say who's to blame without seeing the games but overall, it's the responsibility of the coach to see that his team deals appropriately with these situations. Danton Cole seemed to have the team working pretty well last season but they just haven't progressed, individually or as a group this season. What makes it all the more problematic is that there aren't many players from outside the program excelling either. The US '94 group just seems much weaker than it had previously.

To put these back to back losses in perspective, the US had a 20-1 record in this tournament over the past five years.

Teräväinen puts Finland 1-0 over Sweden. Who is this kid? He's scoring goals, lots of them.

Collberg makes it 3-1 SWE as we speak.

Sweden wins 3-2

Great weekend for Sweden in international tournaments, winning U17, U18, and U19.

As expected that sweden won, Finland was missing 2 of their best players Barkov and Ristolainen. I think that this result was good with this team against very strong Sweden.

Also Pokka wasn't there players who will play U18 WJHC. Määttä sure, but he will be in OHL in this tournament.
