I just hope that Bob Mason sees what I see as a weakness in Emery's game; Can't get the glove up fast enough when he's moving laterally.

Emery has decent lateral movement, but the last couple of times i've tortured myself enough to watch him play, it seems that when he is shifting side to side, he's compensating with his glove hand. During a lateral, sometimes his stick isn't protecting his five hole.

I would expect Clutter to score tonight based on that fact alone. High shot, far top corner should be a no brainer. Heatley should also be able to exploit that, if he can actually get his shot off from a behind the net Koivu feed and not blast it over the net.

I don't expect our third line to have much success against Emery, because he butterflies very well and no one on that line seems to be able to lift the puck lately.

/shrug

Harding has looked sluggish the last couple of starts and if Chicago knows that, expect an early goal, then he will be sharp.

Maybe Cullen will be able to slide one in. Now that his scoring has slowed down, he seems to be going 5-hole more often.

I'd agree, though. We're probably not going to get many (if any) garbage goals against Emery. He's strong down low.

Please scratch Schultz, he was brutal against the Hawks last time

When does this team ever? They would be in the middle of the pack in GF if they were consistently getting ugly goals but they don't know how to drive the net.

We got three (though one was taken away) on Tuesday.

Both top lines seemed to be willing to take shots Tuesday, so hopefully that continues. Johnson more than earned his keep on the top line that game if only because he didn't try to force an ugly pass to Koivu on that 2 on 1.

Put your vCash where your vMouth is.

Beautiful odds. Also, Avder's not going to climb out of that 50 vCash hole like that.

Yep, that was so refreshing. If they did that every game they would be winning way more games.

I bet against the Wild last game. Gotta do the same thing this game.

You always have to bet with the big money. There's a reason they got that much cash.

Lundin's the lone healthy scratch again.

What the hell is going on? Someone tweet Russo.

Starting to wonder if there's some good old-fashioned, Gardy-style nepotism going on here.

It is strange Lundin keeps getting scratched. From what I saw he was not bad at all, not great, but not bad enough to get, what, 8 healthy scratches in a row now? He has a way better breakout pass than Schultz and defends on par with him. He's more reliable than Zids and more mobile than Zanon, I don't get it.

He mentioned it a day or two ago, but it doesn't seem that Lundin even knows exactly why he's the odd man out every game now - sounded like he (Lundin) was just guessing at specific reasons... Shouldn't the coach be pretty clear on what the player needs to do to get back in ? We're not exactly suiting up 3 sets of All-Stars back there...

Oh, and awesome cat pic Squidz.

I disagree. We have at least half the AHL teams beat.

The Blackhawks scare me too... I mean, we can make a bad team look good, they just have their way with us. It's like beer league out there for us...

We could make a drinking game out of when they score on us

So ... Harding was sick yesterday but will start tonight because Backstrom is sick today. Sounds like we might have a viral bug going around. Quarantine the goalies?

It's serious time, *****es. Wild got it's cool back, now it needs it's seriousness.

I'm thinking either a Chicago blowout or close Chicago win. 2nd line is decent, but unless Wellman proves he can score yet again, doubt Clutter is getting another one.

Really curious about Wellman. He did a lot of good things last game. Is he turning it around, or will he be an up and down streaky player?

Side note: I kept telling my girlfriend about how dreamy Wellman was at the game. Very entertaining.
