Meh, they're officially in a slump. I'm not really feeling like throwing the players under the bus after four bad games, though. The same group that was getting it done in December is having some struggles now.
Won't surprise me if they right the ship for the rest of January -- more or less the same thing that happened after that bad string of games ending with Columbus and Florida, and then they came back better after the wake-up call.
Ladd really does have to figure it out, though. I like the guy as captain but this just can't keep up.
I've heard this time and again but not sure what people are talking about. What does it mean to play "cute"? Is it like trying to play showy?
Basically. Playing cute is trying to make that move at the blue line when you should dump it in. Or trying to make that behind the back pass when you should just shoot it on net. It's the opposite of trying to grind out a win. Sometimes playing cute can be a good thing, but playing too cute is always a bad a thing.
No PGT yet? I just got home from the game. Jets were sure schooled again. Sharks are a big disaplined team. Heck even their top guys like Big Joe played a defense first game. Jets had next to no real scoring opportunities. Sharks as a team gave a clinic on how to play a road game. First time I've been in the hanger where the crowd was taken out of the game. I sure hope Buff and Bogo are back soon. Pav the only jet that stood out today.
