Whatever his name is, Hags deserves the spot over him. Maybe Couturier will be a better player in the future, but Hags is playing better right now.

awesome for girardi...very much deserved

obviously hank deserves it and he's been rested this year, but i'd rather he got the days off...the asg and skills competition are just abusive on goalies lol

much deserved for all - like a lot of others I'm hoping Lundqvist finds a way to not play.

It's good for the players because I know they love the recognition but honestly I think the whole all star business is crap. And what I worry about is the possibility of someone getting hurt and that has happened before to us.

There's no reason for hank not to play. I mean he'll see what, 20 minutes of game time and give up a couple goals? So what? It's not going to tire him out. It's an honor to be selected, and he's having a career year. Let him enjoy it.

Awesome to see Girardi getting recognized!

Even if he could probably use the rest. Nice to see the league recognize great defensive play.

Would have loved to see Hags make it and race against Gaborik in the skills comp. That would have been awesome.

Didn't Crosby do that one year?
I think he had a bit of a concussion.

Congrats to all three, they really deserve it.

I worry about him being mentally affected. It's happened before.

Micheletti is going to be on a full-blown man-love fest tonight. I may have to listen to the radio with the TV muted.

Grats, but hoping at least Lundqvist doesn't go and takes the rest.

Hopefully hank gets through it injury free. He will look to make spectacular saves in the 1 period he gets to play. And that stupid skills compeition with the breakaway contest, every rangers fan will be holding their breath.

Four teams (New Jersey, Columbus, Colorado, and Edmonton) took up 5 slots in the Rookie game. These teams had to send a rookie since they didn't send any All Stars. Only reason I see Hags getting snubbed

Torts on Girardi ASG selection: "He deserves it." If Danny is on his team, will he double-shift him? "No. I probably won't play him."

Eh I don't care about the rest. The ASG barely requires any energy. They should be fine. I'm extremely happy for Girardi.
